Gourlay Events

We selected Gourlay as the caterers for our wedding in September 2025. We used them for both a Friday night Hog Roast the night before the wedding as well as for the meal on the wedding day as well. They were absolutely amazing to work with. They already knew the venue (Boreland) so well that they literally just popped in and started working away - which was exactly what we needed as we had a lot of other things to worry about! The Hog Roast was a perfect way to welcome our guests. The whole pig looked lovely and smelled amazing! They catered to all the dietary requirements easily. The vegetarians said the veggie tart was incredible. The leftovers were perfect to have for the rest of the weekend. The wedding meal was perfect and went super smoothly. Both the salmon and beef were cooked very well despite their being over 100 people to feed. Everyone was happy with their meal. Overall Gourlay was easy to work with, communicative and the food was tasty as well. We would highly recommend them! I would recommend doing a tasting prior as well! We ended up changing our minds on the fish after we tasted how amazing and perfectly cooked the salmon was, so it is worth trying a few dishes! They kindly give you takeaway boxes if you can't finish it all in one sitting.

Gourlay took care of the catering for our wedding. Their communication is great and food was exceptional. They have a laid back attitude. Make sure you visit for a tasting before booking - definitely worth it! Recommend the featherblade beef - the guests went wild for this Thank you again

If I could leave NO stars, I would. Quite simply: the WORST meal I have ever been presented with. I actually thought it was a joke!!! Our starter was a nicely warmed up piece of cheap ham, fresh with blue bottle flies, a couple of bits of unidentifiable, flavourless and sweaty cheese. The main course didn't just disappoint, it took horrific-ness to a superb new level- did you know they still make Dolmio?? Well this was the only flavour on the plate. I think the meat may have been chicken but who knows??? To be honest it was so astoundingly awful it shall be forever conversationally brilliant!

Gourlay's provided the catering for our Wedding Day and it was absolutely incredible! The canapes went down a treat with all of our guests and everyone was raving about how good the meal and evening buffet were. AMAZING and would highly recommend! Emma & Graeme x

We hired Gourlay for our wedding in November to do a carvery style meal for 160 people. Not only was the meal fantastic (you can tell they are quality butchers) but the team was so organised and professional about serving 160 people! They came highly recommended to us from Fingask Castle, and we are so happy we went with them! Shiralee in particular was so lovely and helpful as we arranged a tasting and had endless email conversations about allergies. We cannot thank Gourlay enough for pulling off the most delicious meal for our special day! Incredible team❤️

Gourlays recently provided the marquee, catering and bar for our wedding. Including staffing everything for the day. They made our day incredibly easy and stress free. The food was delicious and plenty options for all dietary requirements.

Fantastic selection of meat and pies. Staff are very helpful and pack black pudding, lorne etc. ready to take home. Can't wait for my next trip to Gourleys
