Uig Sands Restaurant

So glad that friends of ours recommended that we visit. It is a beautiful restaurant - the view is incredible of course but the interior is also very tasteful. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate - the coconut doughnut pudding was a real highlight. Great wine list.

Fab, fab restaurant. It was a delight that as a solo traveller I had one of the best seats in the house by the window with an amazing view of Uig sands. The vibe was warm, relaxed and friendly and was greeted by my first name. The service was impeccable and the server was a lovely, she had recently moved from Bognor to Lewis. She gave me a good tip in driving round the route to see reef beach. I had the non alcoholic Wild Eve which was a breath of fresh air against zero percent gin. I had the local smoked salmon with pistachios, herb crusted cod (melted in my mouth) and local cheese with warm home made oat biscuits. Highly recommend

Excellent locally sourced Scottish food with modern twists. The restaurant service and food alla incredible. This was a proper treat for us as part of our travels in a motorhome around the OH. Free to stop over and use of drinking water tap if you dine in the restaurant.

What a delightful experience. Popped in for a coffee and recived a lovely reception. I should have asked the lady her name so I could name check her. Please make the trip out to this fabulous overlooking Uig beach and support this business over the summer months. I'm positive you will have a lovely time.b

Honestly the best restaurant we have ever been to (and we've been to A LOT!). The setting is exceptional, the service is incredible and the food is some of the best food we have both ever eaten. I can see this place winning awards! We will both be back hopefully soon and would happily travel all the way back to the island JUST for this! I had the vegan options as well and can confirm they are as equally exceptional as the non vegan options which, in itself, is a rarity. I can't stop recommending this place!

The best views I’ve ever seen from a restaurant. I couldn’t fault the food and the service was excellent. It wasn’t really our vibe, we wouldn’t normally spend that much on a meal out and I couldn’t say the food was worth it even though it was very tasty (our fault, we didn’t check how much jt would cost). We felt the atmosphere was a bit too formal compared to what we usually like. However some people would enjoy the more reserved/somber atmosphere. Great experience and glad we tried it but wouldn’t go again. Thank you!
