The riverside setting definitely adds to the experience. The food was comforting and enjoyable overall, with the crispy chicken thighs being the standout dish for us. They were full of flavour and cooked really well. Unfortunately, the squid lacked flavour and didn't taste as fresh as we would have liked. Whilst we wouldn't necessarily go out of our way to visit again just for the food, it's definitely somewhere we would happily return to if we were in the area, especially for a to relax and enjoy the lovely river views. A great spot for some hearty local pub grub. Tried a cheesy pie and veg on the side. Despite smothering the pie in gravy it was still a little dry in places. But the rich cheesy flavour more than compensated. Nice traditional vibes and good service, what’s not to enjoy?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Steam Packet, Chiswick A wonderful little gastro pub by the river, full of charm and warmth. The staff were genuinely friendly, honest, down to earth people who clearly care about what they do. The food was delicious, freshly made and beautifully presented. From the baked camembert and smoky wings to the padron peppers, everything tasted spot on and comforting. The atmosphere felt relaxed and human, no pretence, just good people serving great food and drink. The mulled wine was lovely with a shot of amaretto, all served with a smile.

Great view over Thames from veranda. Able to watch the rowing boats going past as some rowing event was taking place! Delicious Sunday roast with melt in the mouth Yorkshire pudding. Lovely attentive staff. Would recommend.

Went to watch the World Cup final. Cute place. Great service. Only had starters but they were yummy. Saw the fish and chips go by and it looked amazing. Lovely that they have balconies overlooking the river.

Visited for the 1st time. Really great experience. The staff were excellent, polite, helpful and the overall service was great. Drinks and food were served at the right pace. There is a good choice for all types of diet and the quality of food was very high. The rooms were extremely clean and well presented and the view over the Thames is lovely. A very relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended.
