Croes Howell Restaurant & Bar

Arrived for 12:15pm on a weekday plenty of parking available on arrival, walking in it smells and looks clean. My nephew asked for a kids burger but wanted a huge one he definitely got one. Food was delicious and piping hot, we did have dessert but I completely forgot to take a photo of them with feeling so calm and relax in this restaurant. Our waitress Mia was well attentive nothing was too much, she even had a giggle with us very welcoming. Already recommended to other parents and continue to recommend. Just finished our meal and it was amazing. I ordered the roasted lamb rump and my daughter had the tomato pasta. The lamb was cooked beautifully and the potatoes where excellent. Our waitress was Chloe, she was very knowledgeable about the menu and genuinely seemed like she wanted to be there and really enjoyed her job. We will definitely be back. Kudos to Chloe for the great service.

- We will be back!! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 I popped in here after cheering on my friend doing the Chester marathon (2025) and was made to feel super welcome. Our dinner reservation in Chester was subsequently messed about with and immediately I thought I’d like to come try dinner here instead. We didn’t even wait 20 minutes for our food to arrive and we were seated immediately even though they were packed with a birthday and Sunday roast service. Absolutely stellar. The beef was great, the turkey was great, the veggies were PERFECT. Total cost for two including drinks was about £40, but felt like it should have been £60. Thank you so much to the kitchen, floor manager, and the girls serving. Also, even though I only ordered toast and coffee on my initial visit, I was still asked about allergies - and asked again on our visit for toast later in the day. What a perfect end to an amazing day!

Amazing experience we had. We ordered two lots of the fish suppers but only one came but the manager made sure we had another one brought to our table and took it off the bill at the end! The food was beautiful and very good value for money. My mum ordered the Camembert plate that came with a bottle of Prosecco 🍾which we shared. The waffle and honey comb ice cream was amazing and so was the latte. My mum also enjoyed the glass of the Zinfandel rose that came with my meal but I gave it to her. This is our 2nd time we’ve been since it’s been re opened. Definitely come again soon. Thank you Croes Howell! ♥️ 🍽️

Had afternoon tea but disappointed. Savoury bits were good, especially the sausages. Sausage rolls would have been better if served warm like other savoury food. We didn't get any scotch eggs as on the menu picture. Couldn't believe the scones came with squirty cream, what happened to double or clotted cream. Cakes on an afternoon tea are supposed to be dainty, we had 2 large slices of sponge, not to our taste. Won't be visiting again.
