⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What a fantastic family-run pub! From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel so welcome by the friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking for a great place to enjoy a meal. The food was absolutely outstanding—fresh, generous portions, beautifully cooked, and full of flavour. It’s clear that a lot of care and pride goes into everything they serve. It’s refreshing to find a pub where excellent customer service and quality food are such a priority. We’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend The 147 to anyone looking for great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and genuine hospitality. A real local gem!

11 snooker tables, electronic dart boards and pool tables. Tasty food ranging from Sunday roast, pizza, authentic Turkish kebabs, and a number of smash burgers. Very friendly and helpful staff. Had a great afternoon playing pool after eating one of the kebabs. Soft drinks, Guinness and a range of lagers on electric pumps. What a find, will go again. May book for Sunday lunch. Saw Joe Johnson in the snooker room, he came out and was able to shake his hand.

The owners have gone a long way to make this venue family friendly. Lots of days ranging from reggae music, World Cup and other celebrations. The venue had undergone a fantastic refurbishment with new carpets and furniture. The food is fabulous, the chef regularly puts in specials, my favourite so far has to be the slow cooked brisket, I really hope this makes it onto the regular menu.

Can’t fault this venue from the staff to the food to everything in between. It’s changed so much over the year there’s the fantastic pool hall with 6 tables and 2 dart boards as well as the snooker lounge with 10 tables . There’s a great function room for all events where Becky caters to all needs. The kitchen the food is amazing cooked fresh with a mix of Turkish and English dishes . Then there’s all the fabulous events from the regea days and carnival and monlthy tributes Can’t fault the place enough definitely worth the visit

went for a game of snooker priced well £8 per hour. tables look a bit tired and inside snooker area in general. main bar is good, staff friendly and welcoming. car park bit small and make sure u book your car in on tablet

Booked the room for my engagement party. I didn't have food from them so can't comment. The atmosphere was great for the most part but there was a fight outside which put a dampner on the evening. As much as staff did what they could I think their discretion should be to stop serving when people have had too much/getting too rowdy or kick them out if something seems to be going badly. This upset the evening because certain guests couldn't go out for a smoke or go home comfortably so had to wait it out. The service was amazing though. Leah the barmaid was absolutely perfect, she was fun and kind and chatty when we wanted a laugh then assisted with clean up after. Her I give 5 stars all the way. My only concern inside was the toilets not being as clean as they could have been and one door didn't work. The parking is lacking but again not really their fault as not much space for it

The 147 is a fantastic spot with delicious food and a friendly atmosphere. The mixed grill is absolutely amazing – highly recommended
