The Hot Hats

We booked the Hot Hats for our wedding evening party after seeing them play at a friend’s own reception. They’re a fantastically engaging live act, interactive and hugely talented with great musical range. They’re also super friendly, organised and great value. I’ve also booked them for a works party previously and they were awesome there, too! Music from a wide range of periods from the ‘60s onwards makes them a great choice for multi-generational get-togethers, and Alfie is great to work with. Huge thanks to them both for making our special day even more special!

The Hot Hats were an amazing addition to our wedding celebrations. We had seen recommendations prior to booking and after speaking to Alfie we knew they were the perfect duo for our wedding. Professional. friendly and so much fun. They knew exactly what the crowd wanted to keep us on the dance floor and our feet tapping at the bar. Many of our guests enjoyed the sounds whilst sitting in the sunshine. Everyone has commented on how much they enjoyed the atmosphere that The Hot Hats created for the evening. The Hot Hats really brought our wedding celebrations together! So many of our guests have been in touch specifically to say how amazing the Hot Hats were, and how kind and friendly they were. Throughout the process Alfie listened to what we asked for and worked with us professionally and thoughtfully- and on the night the duo went the extra mile to get everyone out of their seats dancing. We all appreciated their incredible musicianship, skill and genuine warmth, and we all left singing and happy.

If you are looking for versatile and professional musicians Alfie and Owen are a safe pair of hands. They were extremely thoughtful when my planned 70th Birthday party coincided with the recent sad passing of a family member. They were able to lift us all and read the room with sensitivity. They were flexible and willing to respond to our requests, but also ‘held ‘ the situation with confidence . This guitar duo are skilled musicians. They have great musicality and range, entertaining our family with ages from 3 yrs to 70 yrs. Alfie is a prompt communicator and they were 100% reliable in all aspects from booking, arrival , supply of equipment and performance. We had a brilliant night!!

Matt and I decided to throw a party! We had about 45 people in mind to invite but we wanted a band. I’m always put off by loud ones that you can never really hear the voices and your head and ears ache from the constant boom boom. Finding Alfie on a google search was exciting, they sounded exactly what we were looking for, for our intimate gathering. No problem at all to deal with prior to booking, which was simple and clear, we didn’t know at that time we were in for a treat, wow, the evening was absolutely superb. Alfie and Owens sound is brilliant, you can clearly hear the songs and the music, great vocals, no ear ache, just super super sounds coming from them. The choice of music suited our evening, and the requested songs to play were no problem. They integrated with our guests, some ‘hot’ to handle, and everyone had a fantastic evening, a massive thanks to you guys, it felt like we had friends with us, not a hired in band - and yes, we will see you again! (If you’ll come back that is!)

Thank you for playing at my daughters wedding recently. It was the perfect end to a great day for us, with three sets of live music and then a disco to end the evening. What made it even better was the fact that Alfie had liaised with my daughter beforehand and had arranged a play list reflecting her and her now husband's musical tastes. Afterwards everyone I spoke to told me how much they had enjoyed the music. Thanks again guys.

Planning a wedding is really complicated and there are so many hard decisions, so let’s make this an easy one - just book the Hot Hats! Alfie and the team are absolutely phenomenal, if you want a fun acoustic duo who’ll draw people to the floor or get spontaneous dancing at the bar, these really are your guys. Their choice of music was brilliant and had the full range to suit everyone, all played perfectly. I’ve seen a number of duos at weddings and whilst many are great musicians, many can be quite sterile, getting up, doing their thing and leaving - the Hot Hats most definite aren’t. They are super-friendly and the audience engagement is amazing, I spent as much time laughing along with them as I did dancing and they expertly wield that engagement to draw people into the party. Having perfectly read the room, they led us into the perfect night of entertainment! The engagement with Alfie beforehand was brilliant and he made the whole process really straightforward and the day itself also couldn’t have been easier - the Hot Hats turned up early, sorted everything with the venue and even stepped in when we forgot to announce we were cutting the cake! They handle everything musical, they come with some great kit and even run DJ sessions between their sets so you get the full musical package. So save yourself some party-planning time and just go for them - you really won’t regret it!!
