Ye Olde Black Cross

I attend a gathering here on a Monday afternoon to celebrate my cousins life. Stacey & Jay were very welcoming and empathetic to the situation as to why we were there. They kindly let a few motorbikes meet on the car park and acces the pub prior to the family cars leaving and we then followed. On return to the pub we were welcomed once again. They had prepared a Buffett for us and it was excellent. All fresh and a lovely variety , there’s quite a few vegetarians in our family and they had been made aware of this. They provided lots of things vegetarians could eat and went to a lot of effort. Nice to see the cheese sandwiches on a plate of their own etc. all the veggie food was clearly labled. There was also a lovely selection of cake. It’s a great space for a small ish family get together. Nice terrace area outside and they are having some work done it make it even better. The pub has lots of character and has been kept in the style it was built which is great to see. There’s also a b&b above the pub. Right in the town too. Thank you Stacey & Jay. What a brilliant find! The perfect old country pub - but in the town. Great beer and good friendly welcome. Pool table in a separate area and easy wheelchair access through the sun trap beer garden and ramp access to a comfortable and welcoming lounge. My favourite part of the dog walk through Sanders Park and on to Ye Olde Black Cross for a lunchtime pint. Yes these lovely folk welcome well behaved dogs with well behaved people! UPDATE 😁😁new management. Determined to make a a mark. Great beer good prices and wonderful food in a great atmosphere.

We held our wedding reception at the black cross on 11th October. We were given the whole front bar. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were extremely accommodating and helped make our special day a perfect one!

A must stop, history buff or for a beer and a chow, stop by recommended. Friendly staff & owners. The force is strong with this pub. Thank you for the warmth & welcoming experience guys.

Came Here For The First Time On Saturday With My Dad and We Loved It It’s a Lovely Pub With a Fantastic Selection Of Beer I had a Pint Of MORETTI and It was Amazing The Man That Served Me Was Very Kind and Helpful We Really Enjoyed Ourselves Highly Reccomend It Here Best Pub In Bromsgrove Town

Stopped by Ye Olde Black Cross in Bromsgrove and had a genuinely lovely experience. A big shout-out to Blayk, who was behind the bar—his enthusiasm, friendliness, and great energy really stood out. He made everyone feel welcome and engaged brilliantly with both myself and other customers. The pub itself has a warm and friendly atmosphere, decent food, and a fantastic historic touch—a glass-covered well dating back to 1640, which is a really cool feature you don’t see every day. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area—especially if Blayk’s working!

Brilliant hosts for 50th Birthday party. Great atmosphere, nothing too much trouble. Big buffet. Great night!
