Ian Wynne-Smythe was a brilliant toastmaster and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better for our wedding day. From the beginning Ian went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and stress free! Ian helped so much and making the day so structured and at ease. On the morning of the wedding he helped the groomsmen making sure ties were perfectly done, pocket squares were in place and buttonholes looked on point and calming any nerves. His attention to detail, kindness and organised approach made a biggg difference and helped the whole day. Ian’s support didn’t stop. Throughout the day, he was incredibly to both us and our guests. Lots of guests commented on how helpful. One moment that really stood out was when he kindly assisted a family member making sure she had an umbrella and safely got into the venue, such a thoughtful gesture. Thanks to Ian, everything flowed and allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment. His presence made it feel like we had known him forever. We honestly feel that every wedding should have an Ian there! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you did. You were simply the best!!

Ian was the toastmaster at our wedding on Saturday and all I can say is ‘wow’. He was warm, friendly, highly efficient, engaging with guests and really made my husband and I feel at ease. A genuinely LOVELY man who clearly takes pride in what he does, and has a real passion for taking his role seriously. Weddings can be overwhelming at times but having Ian there made everything run smoothly and was a huge help. I could not recommend Ian more highly to any future couples planning their special day. What can we say about Ian! Without a doubt, the best investment that we made for our wedding. Ian was professional, kind and on top of things that I hadn’t even thought about. From the moment Ian arrived at our venue, I knew that the day would go smoothly without me having to worry about a thing. Ian’s attention to detail was second to none, and everyone commented on how brilliant he was. A big thank you especially for looking after both my grandparents, it really made their day to be escorted into the ceremony room. I can’t recommend Ian highly enough, and I hope lots more couples have the pleasure of sharing their special day with him in the future.

Ian was absolutely brilliant from the very first phone call. He immediately took a lot of the pressure and responsibility off us, which made such a difference in the lead-up to the wedding. On the day, he ran everything so smoothly and worked really well with the venue and all of our suppliers. He always seemed to know what we needed before we even had to ask. It was a very warm day and he had even come prepared with fans, which says a lot about how thoughtful and experienced he is. As with any wedding, there were naturally a few stressful moments, but Ian stayed calm, positive and completely in control throughout. He also took the time to understand and respect our cultural traditions, which was really important to us. He is genuinely very good at what he does, and you can tell he truly enjoys it. Having him there allowed us to relax and enjoy the day knowing everything was being looked after. Ian was our toastmaster at our wedding on the 2nd of April 2026 at Capesthorne Hall. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better toastmaster than Ian. He was such an important part of our wedding day and truly went above and beyond to make everything feel perfect and special. From the very start, Ian made everyone feel welcome and included. He took the time to learn the names of our wedding party, which meant so much, and he kept the entire day running smoothly without us having to worry about a thing. His humour, wit, and genuinely kind nature didn’t go unnoticed — our family and friends are still talking about him! Before the wedding, Ian arranged a video call to get to know us, which really helped put us at ease and made the whole experience feel much more personal. He was especially wonderful with our elderly grandparents, taking extra care to support them and make them feel comfortable and included throughout the day. And when a little disaster struck early on (a lipstick stain on my dress!), Ian came to the rescue with his trusty wipes — calmly and quickly saving the day! We truly can’t recommend Ian enough. He’s professional, thoughtful, and an absolute joy to have as part of such a special occasion. We love Ian!

Throughout the day, Ian was always one step ahead, quietly taking care of things behind the scenes before we even knew they needed attention. Knowing he was there gave us complete confidence that everything was under control, which was invaluable on such an important day.
