The Groovesman

We booked Dan for our wedding, and are glad we did. He was so easy to work with. We had a meeting prior to the wedding and made a playlist for him so he could understand our tastes. From there, and after our agreement, Dan just rolled with it. On the day, he was able to get people dancing despite the absolute sweltering heat (30c). He clearly fed off the room and followed the vibe as the night went on. Importantly, many comments were made on the smooth transitions between songs, and unlike the usual mockery of some wedding DJ’s, people were genuinely impressed, ourselves included. Finally, Dan made sure he finished with our requested song, which led to an impromptu unofficial first dance. Would highly recommend, not only for the stellar set produced, but the painless process to get there. Great work, look forward to seeing you for my next wedding (just kidding)… Thanks!

We had an exceptional night, thanks to DJ Dan (the Groovesman). For our combined birthday celebration, I was initially apprehensive about hiring Dan, as our guests comprised a diverse mix of nationalities, including a significant number of Brazilians. I provided Dan with a selection of Brazilian songs I wished to include and expressed my intention to collaborate with him to ensure an enjoyable evening filled with dance music. I must say, he exceeded our expectations; we were all thoroughly pleased with his musical selections, which kept all the guests dancing throughout the night. His professionalism is truly commendable. Dan DJed our wedding and I cannot recommend him enough! He took the time in the lead up to the day to check in and discuss our music tastes and the whole experience felt really personalised to us and our day. Guests loved him, everyone had the best time and the dancefloor was packed all night. 10/10 thanks Dan!

I hired Dan "The Groovesman" for my birthday and he is a consummate professional who really knows how to curate a playlist for a party. Everything from the communication to the event was effortless and I couldn’t be happier with the service Dan provides. He took on board everything I asked of him and provides all the equipment needed. Many friends were commenting on how good the music was after and the set by Dan really was the highlight of the celebration. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Groovesman in a heartbeat! 5 stars all round
