Limehouse Town Hall

I am a regular at a party held at this venue and have amways been impressed with the venue and the friendliness of the hosts. This Valentines i was able to join one of parties run by the venue crew itself and was blown away by the imagination, vibe and friendliness. It was literally the best valentines party i have been to in years and one of the best in twenty years of clubbing. Great tunes, amazing artwork, fun and impressive dressing up encouraged, random conversations, electic talks and great energy. Like secret garden in its early years ( showing my age there). Still feeling the positive a week later. Full marka to everyone involved including top security and bar crew....thanks all

Great local community venue run by some very cool people who put on great events. We were there for the Lazarium fun in January and we liked it so much we're going back for the Voodoo party on Valentine's day 🙂

I've lived in East London for 26 years but had never been to the Limehouse town hall before this weekend. Went for the Funki Porcini laserium show & also DJ Food's video set. The video mapping and art poetry was a bonus. The actual venue is tired but still grand. Good selection of drinks on offer and friendly service throughout.

Great venue, good view of the stage from pretty much all of the room, intimate feel, good sound, only thing denying the 5 star was lack of drink choices, only strongbow and sangha offered in cans. Understand why there's no draft option but a little better options of cans would help

Great town hall hosting lots of interesting community and cultural events , but I would be doing them a disservice if I didn’t mention they are in need of a bit of a refresh (paintwork, ceilings, etc).

Oh boy does this place need a complete restoration. In its prime it must have been quite something. But those days are long gone. Crumbling plaster throughout, peeling paintwork the norm. But has an excellent dance floor. Despite all the faults an good atmosphere can be generated. Don't bother to use the downstairs toilets. No not water or the means to dry your hands. No soap either.

A little rough around the edges, but a nice open venue once you get into the main hall. As you walk in, towards the stairs there are seemingly lots of little businesses dotted around, and it adds a nice atmosphere of "things going on" around you. Everything has a bit of a "rough" feel, but I think it's done on purpose to add a bit of character to the building, the staircase is interesting and leads to a fair few camera opportunities. When I went, it was for a dancing event and had live music, which was all done very nicely, it was a suitable venue. The bar was rather terrible though, only one beer, and it was a becks! Why not something from a local brewery? Or at least something non-mainstream...
