London Speaker Hire

We are Enfield NEU protesting against a draconian sickness absence policy imposed on our members. The speakers were amazing and made us loud and proud. When we protested outside the council, we were told that all meetings had to be stopped because of the noise we made. It was powerful. Members told me that the sound of the magic bus approaching, blaring out protest music was hugely exiting. London Speaker hire were so helpful throughout the hire and Hugo who came to set up the speakers on the bus made everything so simple and easy for me. Big thank you to all at London Speaker hire. I’ve used London Speaker Hire several times for both client events and my own personal events, and they’ve been fantastic every time. They’re incredibly helpful, efficient, and communicative, and the equipment is always high quality and well maintained. We recently hired a powered amp and speaker system, with a bass amp and two sets of high end microphones from LSH. Out of all the London event hire companies, Sam was able to get us a quote out the quickest and really communicated incredibly well throughout the process. The boys at the shop were incredibly friendly and professional when collecting and dropping off. The gear was well labelled and looked after, as a sound engineer I can appreciate the care and attention put into the maintaining great gear. Samantha was incredibly responsive and helpful, as an event organiser, I had full peace of mind when it came to the equipment and really appreciate when people take pride in live music. I can definitely recommend using them and know who I will be calling for my next show!

We hired speakers, a DJ booth and mics from LSH for our wedding reception in a pub. Samantha was super helpful and communicative and even liased with our DJ and the venue manager to make sure everything ran smoothly from drop off to set up and pick up the day after! Great prices too. Would definitely use again.

Very disappointed to leave such a negative review. I almost never do so as I understand that mistakes do happen to the best of us - most of the time, decent, professional companies will try to rectify their errors and compensate customers for their failures, especially when these have resulted in loss. LSH has genuinely positive reviews and so I was hopeful they would be a good, professional company to work with - even if things went wrong. I am therefore sad to report that this has not happened. On 20th June, I hosted a large event which required x 5 microphones for various panels throughout the day. I also specified the panels need to be recorded and gave information on the equipment our team would be using to record it - I was assured we'd have a compatible board and a sound engineer. Sadly, on the day of the event, the sound engineer who was sent to us could not get the board to work, leaving us with no audio at all for the morning sessions - embarrassing us, inconveniencing our guests and our speakers. We were not immediately informed of this so I could not get it resolved in a timely manner. I kept being told it would take "just 15 minutes" until finally, it was time for the event to start and there was still no audio. I called the company to get this fixed. To Sam's credit, she did pick up immediately and she did try to resolve the issue immediately. Unfortunately, this would require a new board to be went to us but it wouldn't reach us on time. We had to start the session with no audio to avoid wasting even more speakers time (and incurring additional costs accordingly). Even when the second board was sent, we were told that it did work now but unfortunately, it had no connecting part for the equipment we were using to record - something which we had specified was required. I was extremely disheartened by this given we had discussed it before I booked. However, mistakes happen to the best of us, so I hoped we'd be able to resolve this privately. But I have been even more disappointed by the way the company has chosen to handle the refund process. They seemed apologetic at first but have completely failed to acknowledge that their failure was not just one aspect impacting 20% of the day given that the second board could only be set up in time for the last half of the scheduled events and even then, did not fulfil both the requirements specified. To me, this says more about the company than the initial error itself. It suggests to me at *best* that the company does not understand that their clients rely on their services and that when they fail to deliver, the loss is substantial - it includes not just a failure of the contracted service, but also results in additional costs when trying to rectify this. At worst though, the fact that the company has failed to acknowledge that even the second board didn't meet the specified. requirements (and tried to pass this off as a "successful" rectification) suggests potential bad faith and dishonesty. This is far beyond. the standard I would expect from high a highly rated and seemingly professional company. LSH tends to have other good reviews so it is rather sad to be the person who received such a negative experience. I do hope they will reconsider their complaint policies for when things go wrong to avoid leaving other future customers in the lurch.
