Gilt - West Bridgford

18th July 2026 came to "GILT" West Bridgford first time. Approached the waitress and bar tender seperately. Was met with hostility. BAR TENDER OR COFFEE female barista (blonde in late 40s) commented in an aggressive tone " sit outside and someone will get to you!". I did not even had a chance to voice if I wanted to see the menu or get a drink. Then I looked puzzled given the tone of her voice wiyh an aggressive undertone which followed by a stern look towards me. She repeated her words sarcastically "JUST SIT OUTSIDE AND SOMEONE WILL ATTEND TO YOU!" 30 minutes later I was still sat waiting to place an order. Sadly all the food and drinks for my friends had arrived and the attending waitress had not even bothered to ask the 2 of us that joined 15 minutes before if we wanted to order food or drinks. They had 5 waitresses stood poised next to the bar not doing anything and chatting as i typed this review while I am sat in their restaurant. MOST AWFUL RESTAURANT AND THE MANNERS ATROCIOUS ! I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT GOOD SERVICE , GOOD FOOD AND PLEASANT SERVICE. The pic is just to evidence I am here typing this review.

Food was bang on well worth the money, steak cooked perfect and well seasoned! Plate was dressed with a nice balsamic salad and sweet potato chips. Laura our waitress was attentive and really friendly! Great atmosphere, can’t fault it!

We recently had my husband’s birthday party here and from start to finish the support I received was incredible! Laura was amazing with organising all the details and couldn’t help enough with all the planning! Even when she was "off duty" she would always respond to me. On the evening, Luke was really great at organising the room and managing the bar. On the night, the venue was perfect, everyone really enjoyed the food, which was great quality and good value for money! It is so refreshing to receive such friendly, genuine customer service these days, I cannot recommend this venue enough. A big thank you once again to Dan, Luke and Laura for creating such a special night for all of us!

Yesterday we went to Gilt to the upstairs room for a private party for our friend's 70th birthday. The room is perfect for a small gathering. Our dedicated barmaid and hostess, Bibby, was absolutely delightful, friendly, efficient and professional. The food that was provided was different to same boring old buffet food that you normally get. It was scrumptious and extremely well presented. All in all a perfect afternoon. Downstairs, which is a cafe/restaurant/bar was packed, being a Saturday afternoon and obviously a very popular venue. Also there are a couple of car parks within 5 minutes walk away

Had a nice breakfast here, bacon was tad too salty though. Service was pleasant and professional! I feel like egg benedict presentation could have been a little better but it was a decent portion! Clean and nice atmosphere. For full English breakfast, egg benedict and 2 coffees cost £30

Had the most amazing breakfast here last week. The staff were very friendly and very attentive and the food came out very quick. Our server was called Liv and she was brilliant at her job, would definitely come back again as she made our experience very enjoyable!

Came here for breakfast, and was amazed at the menu options. Decided on the traditional English breakfast and was not disapointed. Top quality bacon and sausage. Service was also on point. Very polite. Will be back to try the main menu
