The Swallows Return

First time here and have to say myself and friend was impressed right from the start, beautiful location and an amazing looking place. Once inside we both felt welcomed instantly. We actually got there earlier than the table was booked for but took us straight in. The service was out of this world. No pressure to order quickly. We both felt so relaxed.Some places try to rush you to order etc but here it’s not like that. Service was excellent. And the food was even better ( my friends a chef ) and they couldn’t even fault it. Nice atmosphere calm quaint and cozy and every one was not on top of each other. Cost was actually very reasonable for the evening! Will definitely be going back at some point !!

Had birthday meal here today. What can I say! It was amazing! Best meal out I've had in a while. I was dubious as do not normally eat in chains but this was exceptional. Staff super friendly the girl that served us was so helpful. I will def be returning and recommending to family and friends. Thank you to The Swallows Inn!!!

Visiting family in Worthing, we went online to find somewhere doing Sunday Roasts, and are so glad we found The Swallows Return, as it's easily one of the best gastro pub Sunday Roasts I've ever had (chef Tom), with lovely friendly service (waitress Annabel), so very happy to recommend and revisit

This was a Christmas do with over 30 of us it was the first time we had tried this place although we have been to the Stables in Fontwell. I arrived a bit late and the place was full. It’s an impressive venue with great access to the A27 and routes along the south coast back to Chichester. I received my starters at 13:12 it was a take on a prawn cocktail lovely and plenty of it. The reason I have the time for my starters is that my desert an apple and mincepie pie was delivered to the table at 15:37. The service was dreadful all the staff seem to evaporate with only one member of staff clearing the main course. Some of the party had to leave to catch a train.

My husband and I celebrated Valentine's with the Valentine's menu... All 3 courses were divine and great value at £32.50! Another lovely evening at The Swallows Return😊

We found by accident. Loved it straight away as the layout makes you smile. Loads of room and space. Bit noisy outside front due to closeness of the main road. But rear area and inside perfect. Had a great great meal on the first night. Quick service hot food excellent steak, so we went back two days later... so from 5 star to 4. 2 burgers, both average. Fries not hot. Service a bit slow but very polite. Beer coice good. So I think 4 star is very fair taking over two early evenings. We'll be be back when we are down this part of world again.
