Big Day Weddings

David and Rory were our wedding photographer / videographer and we couldn’t have chosen a better duo. The photos are absolutely beautiful, all received not very long after the big day, and we received so many that we are spoilt for choice! As individuals they were true professionals who were extremely easy going, friendly and funny, which was definitely needed in some of the more stressful parts of the day. We received our wedding photos that David and Joanna took, we love every single photo, slide show of our magical day. They captured the love, excitement, laughter and several happy tears, a picture can say a million word and they captured them. We really enjoyed working with David, Joanna and Rory for our wedding! The pictures are fantastic - he managed to make us and all our guests look great without ever telling anyone to smile or say cheese. He had great energy throughout the day, and kept everyone laughing. We are so happy with how all the pictures turned out!

We considered not having a photographer at our wedding, but ultimately thought we might regret it, so began a search for someone who we felt would capture our day the way we wanted and not blow the budget. By chance, we found David at Big Day Weddings, who offered a 4 hour session and had a load of photos that we liked the look of, so we booked him. We had a couple of Zoom meetings with David who was just great, we ended up chatting with him like we’d known him for years. We explained what we did / didn’t want from the photos and he really listened! On the day, he did convince us to do a few shots that were more posed than we might have chosen ourselves but as it turns out, they are our favourite ones and we’re so glad we went along with his vision and expertise! If you’re looking for someone who takes notice of what you want, but can gently nudge you to step out of your comfort zone, David is the photographer for you. From the first call, we knew that we had found our perfect photographer in David. He was warm and attentive, whilst remaining super professional and organised. David was the perfect addition to our day, with his funny and engaging nature, he put us and our guests at ease whilst making the typically formal photo taking part of the day a fun experience for everyone and capturing some wonderful moments. David has a way of being present when needed, but blending into the background when it was required, enabling him to take some really candid shots. Many of our guests also commented to us on David’s fun and friendly personality and we felt like he added to our day. Nothing was too much trouble and he came well prepared with notes we had sent him and adapted to our many changes of venues! We received our photos back a lot sooner than we expected and David went above and beyond with his care and dedication to ensure we had everything we needed to have a lifetime of wonderful memories. We were so happy we chose David and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, warm, funny and highly talented photographer.
