Russ Jackson Photography – Newborn & Family Studio

We had a few sessions with Russ, each lasting a few hours, and genuinely enjoyed every one. He has such a kind nature and made us feel comfortable from the start. He was incredibly patient and accommodating, always letting us and our baby set the pace. Russ is amazing at settling newborns and handled our baby with so much care, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and easy. We absolutely love the photographs and would happily recommend him to anyone looking for a maternity and newborn photographer.

I cannot recommend Russ enough! Having a newborn is always something I've wanted to capture professionally as I'm personally not great with cameras, and I'm so happy I chose Russ to do the photoshoot! Not only are the images gorgeous and a forever keepsake, the experience was amazing too. The whole session felt so calm and relaxed - Russ sure knows how to make parents (and baby) feel at ease. We will definitely be recommending him and will be back for future shoots!

We’ve now had Russ photograph both of our sons as newborns, and once again he’s exceeded all our expectations. He’s unbelievably patient, so calm, and somehow always manages to get the perfect shot. He’s amazing with babies and a total baby whisperer! The whole experience feels relaxed and enjoyable, and the photos are just breathtaking. I cannot Recommend Russ enough. I was fortunate enough to have a newborn photoshoot for my third child with him a couple of years ago when he was phenomenal. Ever since then I promised to go back for a full family photoshoot which we did as a present to ourselves for our 10 year anniversary. It was truly the best way to celebrate such an occasion - Russ was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. He spent a lot of time in the run up to the shoot answering my questions and giving me guidance on outfits etc as well as being super flexible on the day to ensure that my 4 young kids were going to be in their best moods and well slept and fed. The photoshoot itself went even better than I could have hoped - Russ was not only focused on producing gorgeous photos, but he was also fantastic with my kids and kept them engaged and enjoying the experience - no mean feat with 4 kids, ages 6 months - 6 years. I was worried that it would be tricky to get good photos with so many of us but I didn't need to be - the photos were absolutely stunning - every single one of them!!! I am already planning my next opportunity to utilise Russ again and have been recommending him to all my friends. He really is second to none! We recently had a family photoshoot with Russ Jackson of Russ Jackson Photography, and I honestly couldn’t recommend him more. With three children aged 9 down to 18 months, I knew it wasn’t going to be the easiest session. Our 1.5-year-old was definitely not interested in posing, but Russ was amazing. His patience with the younger two was incredible. He stayed calm, never rushed us, and never made us feel stressed. Somehow, he still managed to capture the most beautiful, natural photos of our toddler, even in the moments that felt chaotic to us. He also took some gorgeous portraits of our daughter that we will treasure. He has such a natural way of bringing out real expressions without making anything feel forced or overly staged. The family photos are just beautiful. They feel relaxed, warm and genuinely like us. Russ’s style is natural and timeless, with so much warmth in his images. His personality makes such a difference too. He is calm, friendly and easy to be around, which instantly put all of us at ease. That especially matters when you are working with little ones. He gives gentle direction when needed but really lets real moments happen. We are so grateful for the memories he captured for our family and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer who is talented, patient and fantastic with children.
