Iris Photography Scotland by Karen Simpson Photography

My adult children didn’t want a family portrait so this was such a unique alternative. We have two different prints - one of all our Iris together, the other with each separate. The selection of styles was amazing, great communication and a quick and easy appointment.

Been wanting iris photographs for ages. Have used Karen as a photographer for years so knew it would be a professional experience. She for the best out of our 5 year old even though he needed a couple tries, she was totally patient with him and showed him the camera and equipment. Would absolutely recommend this as a unique photograph personalised to your family.

Karen made our experience very relaxed and the process was very quick and easy. Our final edit picture is amazing I love it 🥰😍 the hardest part for me was picking which edits to have and stopping myself getting more & more. This was bought for my Christmas and I honestly didn’t know what to expect from it, but I absolutely love how it’s turned out. We had all seven of our eyes photographed and put together into one family piece and the finished picture is unreal. You don’t realise how different everyone’s eyes actually are until you see them like this. The colours and detail Karen manages to pick up are amazing and it’s made something completely unique to our family. Karen herself was brilliant. We’ve got a 3 year old and, as anyone with a toddler will know, getting them to sit and cooperate when you actually need them to is usually when they decide absolutely not to. Karen was so patient with her, showed her what she was doing and really made her feel part of it all. She actually enjoyed the whole thing and Karen managed to get the perfect shot. The whole experience was really relaxed, no rushing about and nothing felt forced. You can tell Karen takes a lot of pride in what she does and wants to get it right. Then we saw the finished picture and… wow. Seeing all seven of us together like this is just class. It’s one of those things that’s really difficult to appreciate until you actually see your own family done. If anyone is looking at iris photography in Scotland, I’d 100% recommend Iris Photography Scotland by Karen Simpson Photography. Especially if you’re thinking about doing it as a family or you’ve got younger kids and are wondering how on earth they’ll manage it! Absolutely delighted with ours.
