Andrea Whelan - London Family Photographer

I cannot express how much we not only love the photos but also loved our time with Andrea! We are from the US & wanted to capture some fun and special moments and Andrea did that for us and more. She was kind enough to meet us at our hotel and then we took the tube to a neighborhood to get a variety of shots. When we got the photos back there wasn’t a photo that I wasn’t in love with. She got some posed pictures, she caught some candid moments within those photos but she also captured simple but special moments in the middle of it all - walking across the street, talking to someone about their dog, looking at a scooter my son was enthralled with. If you’re on the fence this is your sign to work with Andrea- you won’t regret it!!!

Andrea was absolutely wonderful to work with. She photographed both our maternity shoot and our newborn session, and the photos are truly stunning. I’ve never really loved photos of myself, even when taken professionally, but Andrea somehow managed to capture images that feel natural, genuine, and full of real family moments. She was also incredible with our three-year-old daughter, engaging her through games so she didn’t even realize she was being photographed. It made the whole experience relaxed and fun, and the result was beautiful, authentic photos of our family. We will treasure these photos for a very long time and would wholeheartedly recommend Andrea to anyone looking for a photographer.

Andrea was so wonderful to work with! We traveled to London from the U.S. and wanted someone to document our visit as a family. We had fun venturing through the city and my kids loved her. Loved all of the photos so much!

We recently had a newborn shoot with Andrea and we are so incredibly happy with the stunning photos she took. She was so professional from the beginning, driving down to our home in Kent for a 6:30am start to make the most of the beautiful early morning lighting. Andrea was amazing. Thank you so much for taking such gorgeous photos of our family, they are just perfect. It is especially wonderful to finally have beautiful photos of us all together with my dad in the frame instead of behind the camera, and every image is so thoughtfully and beautifully shot. We are so grateful that Andrea was able to fit us in and capture our family so naturally, including our sense of place in the Greenwich Park area. We had such a lovely experience with Andrea. From the moment we met her, she made the whole family feel completely at ease. Nothing felt forced or posed, and she’s given us the most beautiful set of photos – we’re absolutely over the moon with them. She’s captured such natural moments – real smiles, little looks between us – the kind of things you don’t always notice at the time but mean so much when you see them back. Andrea is brilliant with children too. She’s warm, funny and full of energy, and our 4-year-old took to her straight away and genuinely loved the session. We honestly couldn’t recommend her more. We’re so happy with the photos and will treasure them forever.

Never have I received so many compliments for our holiday card photos as I have with the photos that Andrea took. They were incredible and exactly what I asked for with was natural, documentary style, to capture the mood of the new area we moved to. Despite it being a very rainy day, Andrea and our family got out and took some incredible photos and had an amazing time taking them. I’m forever grateful for these memories and will definitely be using her services again! Update (March 2026): We did a second shoot with Andrea for our newborn and once again the experience was so fun and the photos are incredible! So happy to have these fleeting memories captured so authentically by Andrea. One of the best parts of working with her is how easy and natural the session is - like any other day with no pressure. We are already planning our next shoot with her.
