Chocolate Chip Photography

We used Chocolate Chip Photography for our wedding and couldn’t recommend them enough. Communication was brilliant from start to finish, and the booking process was really easy. I originally met Chris and Shazia through working in the wedding industry. I worked with numerous photographers over the years, but I’ve always loved Chris & Shazia’s work, and I’ve always known they were who I’d want for my own wedding. We had a pre-wedding video meeting with Chris, which honestly felt more like catching up with a friend than a formal meeting and really put us at ease. On the day, Shazia photographed our wedding and she was amazing. She made me feel completely comfortable, and I’m not one for having the camera on me all the time. Most of the time you forget she’s even there, she’s brilliant at capturing natural, candid moments without being intrusive at all. She even helped button up my dress and knew exactly how to get my veil out without ruining my hair, which sums up how helpful and lovely she is! We absolutely love the photos—we’ve got a great mix of natural, candid shots with some posed ones too. Our guests commented on how lovely Shazia was throughout the day. We couldn’t be happier with everything.

We chose Chocolate Chip Photography for our wedding at Barn on the Bay in Northumberland, and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision. We absolutely loved their style, and Chris was an absolute legend from start to finish. Every photographer brings something different, but Chris’s quirky sense of humour was just perfect for the day — especially when it came to herding the cattle… or rather, our guests. He took charge from the very beginning, kept everything running smoothly, and made everyone feel completely at ease. We cannot recommend Chocolate Chip enough! We met Chris at a wedding fair over a year ago and the communication since then, right up until now has been amazing! He was quickly able to answer any questions we had while planning and, when he had surgery booked in for December, he kept us in the loop from the very beginning on what was happening and we knew that Shazia would be there if he couldn’t. This above and beyond communication meant that not once did we have any concerns about what the photography would be like on the day. We are a pretty awkward couple who are not used to getting our photo taken so I was a little worried about this aspect of the day but both Chris and Shazia were able to help us with posing so the photos came out beautifully which we are very grateful for. On the day, Shazia was beyond helpful, from sewing the groom’s trousers to keeping me warm with her poncho in the February weather between shots! We absolutely love our wedding photos and are incredibly impressed with how quickly we received them! We honestly couldn’t have chosen better photographers.

Chris and Shazia recently photographed our wedding and I’m struggling to put into words how amazing they were. From our first meeting we knew we had made the right choice. They were such a special addition to our day, they were so personable and every single one of our guests have commented on how amazing they were. We received our full wedding gallery two weeks after the wedding and I spent the whole night crying looking at the photos. They have captured every single special moment, many of which I didn’t even know they were capturing. We took so many couple portrait photos and we love every single one of them. We were married in Newcastle city centre and our photos throughout the city (which there are many) are beyond anything we could have hoped for. I wish I could give more than 5 stars as that doesn’t seem enough.

We genuinely couldn't recommend Chris & Shazia at Chocolate Chip Photography highly enough! 📸🤍 From the moment they arrived at our wedding, they were fantastic — incredibly chilled, relaxed, professional and so easy to have around. They made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, joined in with the laughs and captured our day without us ever feeling like we were constantly being pulled away for photographs. The service after the wedding has been equally impressive. We received a beautiful preview photograph followed by a fantastic 2-minute preview while we waited for our finished gallery, which was such a lovely way to relive the day. Our full gallery was then ready within just 3 weeks, which we thought was exceptional considering it was right in the middle of peak wedding season! And the photographs themselves are simply beautiful. ❤️ We received an amazing number of images and absolutely love the mixture of colour and black & white photographs. Our group photos are fantastic and our couple photographs turned out even better than we could have hoped. The quality, attention to detail and overall standard are outstanding, and they've captured not only the big moments but all the little laughs, emotions and memories from our day too. From start to finish, the service has been first class. Chris & Shazia are incredibly talented photographers and genuinely lovely people — exactly who you want around you on your wedding day.
