First Point Photography

Paul did a 3 day C&G course for my partner. The course was informative and exactly what we wanted it to be. Paul made my partner feel comfortable and passed on lots of great knowledge. What I liked best was since the course (5 months ago) Paul has twice made time for us over the phone to help us with problems we had and to offer advice. Great people and great service at First Point Photography.

I would like to take the time to add a review on first point photography, this studio is great, well put together and very professional for all your portraiture needs. The staff are very nice and happy to help whatever your needs. The wedding photography is second to none and they even now include an additional photo booth service if and when required. I attended one of there courses and in particular the 15 day wedding and portraiture course, it was absolutely fantastic, really insightful and helped me prepare for a potential career In professional photography. In summary: great staff, great photography, quality instruction and fantastic facilities, one to book with highly recommended.

I attended the 'Bump, Newborn and Toddler' 3 day course this week. The course was beyond my expectations. Paul was able to break down complex concepts and explain them in a way that made perfect sense. Leading by example and sharing his knowledge as a highly experienced photographer. A great balance of theory and hands on with real models attending the shoots! Great introduction to Photoshop in which Paul broke everything down in simple terms.The handbook given out at the beginning of the course was well written and I'll be using it as my point of reference whilst setting up myself. Great business advice and help to research equipment to suit your budget. The course doesn't end on day 3, as Paul is always at the end of the phone to help out, and I wouldn't hesitate to call. Thank you for a wonderful 3 days. You've ignited a spark and I can't wait to see where this takes me.

Had my first ever photography lessons with FirstPoint Photography. Paul, the tutor, is very experienced on this field, gives you every opportunity to practice on, on various settings. Cheerful, approachable and helpful Paul, is always there to assist/advise you when needed. Overall, 2 weeks photography course here, has given me confidence to go ahead and explore "The World of Photography".

I attended the SEG Level 3 course and City and Guilds, Advanced Portrait and Wedding Photography Course. Having done photography as a hobby, I've learnt so much and can take so much away from it. Paul has been excellent throughout, always aiding whenever necessary. If you're thinking of taking up photography professionally I would recommend booking yourself on the course. We'd spoken with previous students and they're getting bookings for weddings, they may have taken it up as they're profession and a way of income, but also provides them with pleasure to see the happiness of those getting married when they receive the products (photos), after such a lovely event.
