Foto Snaps

Came to this shop with my husband who is Jamaican to get some photos for travel. The door was locked when we arrived and when opened we were greeted by the owner who said ‘What do you want?’. It turns out someone had just been in the shop harassing the owners which we obviously understood was distressing so we chose to look past the unwelcoming start. The owner took the photos and while waiting for them to be uploaded he started complaining about Wallsend high street and how it’s changed due to ‘non UK people’ coming around the area and ruining it. We were shocked and told him to leave his photos. Very shocking and upsetting when we had wanted to support a local business but we have no interest in spending our money with businesses run by racist owners. I now believe his greeting was rooted in the fact my husband is a black Jamaican man and somehow posed a threat due to the colour of his skin. Absolutely disgusting.

The guys have been here for years an are a real fixture on the highstreet, they are very knowledgeable and friendly and always happy to help with great advice 😀

I popped in for some last-minute instant prints for Christmas after the machines at Asda Benton were off and I'd left everything to the last minute (as always). The two gentlemen that were working there were absolutely delightful and are very clearly passionate about their work. I'm a little disappointed I didn't know about this place beforehand. The service provided was above and beyond, I'll happily be supporting this lovely local business going forward 🙂
