The Powfoot Hotel

The Del Amitri restaurant at the Powfoot is a little gem. Tucked away on the shores of the Solway it affords fantastic views across the firth to the Cumbrian hills and Silloth. My wife and I were delighted to have a table with a view and we soaked up every second of it. The food was superb, lots of fresh fish in the menu, including Lobster. Service was excellent, the food plentiful and beautifully presented. This was a top drawer experience at very reasonable cost. We will definitely be back.

Called in for lunch Sunday 26.4.26. It was very busy and no tables for lunch so we opted for easy chairs coffee and cake. A lovely member of staff ( tall lady with glasses) showed us to the chairs but after ordering came and got us as a table had become free in the bar. Sunday lunch was lovely. This lady was so friendly and had a brilliant sense of humour. Thank you for making our visit so good and looking after us . To your boss …. Give this wonderful lady a massive pay rise !

Lovely hotel overlooking Solway Firth and a very good looking golf course as well. Lots of space in our room and bathroom. Spotlessly clean. We had a very nice dinner in the hotel restaurant and breakfast was good too. Good power shower. A relaxing lounge space overlooking the Firth.
