Shortmead

We had our wedding at Shortmead in July, and it is an absolutely fantastic venue! The weather was perfect and it just made the place even more stunning on the day. Lee and Esme thought of every little detail for us in the lead up meetings and on the day, everything was perfectly set up for us. They checked on us all day to see if there was anything we needed and their staff were fantastic as well. The venue itself is a hidden gem tucked away from the town you wouldn't even know was there. And with the pool, thatched bar, marquee and gardens it is brilliant for weddings and parties. There is different spaces for everyone to dance, party and even relax. We cannot wait to go back there hopefully as a wedding guest one day! We would recommend the venue, and Esme and Lee to anyone, we had the best day ever! Thank you

I was a bridesmaid at a wedding here yesterday, what an exquisite and wholly exceptional place! Perfect setting for a wedding, plenty of open space to use and buildings. The cottage is brilliant for the wedding party to stay. The hosts and staff literally can't do enough for you and they're never intrusive. Thoroughly recommend this beautiful setting! Thank-you!

Shortmead house is stunning. We hired shortmead for my daughters wedding. Not only is the house and marquee visually beautiful but so are it's surroundings.I'd like to thank Lee and all involved in making the day perfect, they went above and beyond, attention to detail was much appreciated. A fairytale place perfect for any wedding or special occasion.

Well if you’re a bride looking for the most epic wedding day and legit the best day of your life then Shortmead is the place to go. It’s not just the setting, it’s Esme and Lee and all their amazing team that make your day flow like the most perfect dream. Someone asked me to explain my wedding day and I said it is what I would imagine heaven to be like, serene settings, all my favourite people with all my favourite food. They instantly made me calm, all our guests said it’s the best wedding they had been to. Any quirky ideas could be discussed and worked into curate the most magical day of our lives. Beyond lucky to have had our wedding at Shortmead… little gem with diamond people. Thank you to all who were there and helped.

Visited Shortmead House for friends wedding. It a great place, very quaint. George the host was great and nothing was too much. Would highly recommend it for weddings and other parties.

Went to a wedding here a couple of weeks ago. Truly wonderful all purpose venue. Majestic, very English and beautifully maintained. Magical place to have a wedding (if the weather holds up).
