St Ives Estate

This has been a favourite place since childhood for walks and adventures. So much to explore with fantastic views if you choose the right route (routes range from 1-3 miles). Main parking is near the entrance (from Bingley side) but you can drive further up to a small car park next to the playground where there’s also an information board. The estate can be traced back to the 12th century and it was purchased by the local council in 1928. There is a public toilet by the excellent playground and a cafe nearby that’s well worth a visit. Paths are generally good condition but walking boots/wellies advised. Also watch out for mess left by irresponsible dog owners 😕

Lovely estate to walk around, been going for years. Several different walks. Play area for the kids and a cafe for refreshments. There are benches and picnic areas to stop at as well as you go around.

Very nice place to visit all green and quiet. Close to neighbouring cities but still far from civilisation. If you’d like me, you like nature that’s a great place to visit.

Went around St Ives yesterday for the first time. I spent about 4 hours just walking around aimlessly really and there's lots to explore, wooded areas, walk around the pond through the village, there's so many different paths you could take and spend alot of time there

St Ives is a large woodland estate open to the public near Bingley West Yorkshire. There are plenty of walking trails, there is a very pretty large lake (they call it a pond) which you can walk around, there's a full size pro/am golf course, you can do archery too, there are horse stables and a really good cafe. It's just a great place for medium length walks, picnics, in the warmer months there's usually an ice cream van in the main car park. There are public toilets and a large play area for families and kids with seating for picnics. Parking is pay&display from 9am till 5pm but charges are really reasonable. Well worth a visit, or a repeat visit, if you like clean air and woodland walking.
