Customer Reviews
Aston Hall has a rating of 4.6 out of 5 based on over 1350 reviews on Google
Plenty of parking, tickets are only £10 and if you go earlier in the day there is no queue at all. Interesting to step into the lives of the wealthy back in 1600s. The architecture and grandeur for that time leaves a person in awe. The gardens were not that great but if you read the history it is because they were damaged in the war and left incomplete.
A great experience in the locality of Birmingham - beautiful building and great team working there, needs to open a cafe - especially on a hot day! It is like being in a country estate out of town - perfect!
Loved my experience at Aston Hall - shame the gardens were not in bloom (summer drought and not their fault!). The guides were really friendly, stopped and spoke to us a few times. Clean facilities and plenty of parking!
Heritage buildings with prestige wooden staircase! Really great and worth to visit
It's hard to believe this beautiful, serene place is only an eight minute train ride from Birmingham New Street. Its a great historical building; each of the rooms look stunning and the gardens are well cultivated and maintained. I was here on a hot summer Saturday afternoon (the last weekend of June)., and was surprised it wasn't very busy. Yes, there were other visitors around, but it never felt crowded. Maybe the £10 admission fee is off-putting to some? The visit here was definitely worthwhile and felt like a tranquil oasis from the crowded Birmingham city centre. The volunteers are very knowledgably of the building's history and the gardens are a great place to relax after touring the rooms withing the grand hall.
Old beautiful classic English castle with interesting rooms and spaces. I recommend finding out when it is open and visiting it. It is good fun for a few hours or so. The park is also beautiful and there is parking on-site, next to the castle. It will cost you £10 per adult person, depending on when you visit it. The best time to visit is speing time or summer.
We spent a couple of hours here on a Wednesday morning. It was supposed to be open at 11 but didn't open until 12noon. Its £10/adult entry to house and you can gift aid. A volunteer was there to introduce the first arrivals to the house which took about 10mins and was very interesting. You then take a guided tour up the beautiful oak stairs and there are info boards in each room and QR codes. The boudoir referred to black slavery and had an interesting poem with audio. We had a drink in the stable yard cafe (see pic) which is just to the side of the house. Nice coffee, cold drinks, sandwiches and cakes on offer, seating inside and outside, clean and tidy. We then visited the garden which was reasonably well maintained. A nice couple of hours here and worth a visit.
