St Augustine's Church, Edgbaston

It is a beautiful church..my second visit for a funeral yesterday. The church was completely full with a huge attendance. There is only 1 toilet which we had to queue to use then found the floor wet and no toilet paper. I couldn't find any church staff available to ask them to replenish it which should be done regularly during such a huge congregation and for hygiene reasons. More attention needed for the publics comfort and safety.

A lovely church. The architecture speaks for its long history. The ambience is very serene and holy. I really enjoy visiting the church. It's well over 150 years old. Evidently, it has been kept and maintained very well.

This morning was an interesting and enjoyable Communion service. It is a very high church, with lots of things going on, including incense. Matthew, the Vicar, gave us a very warm welcome. Afterwards we stayed for coffee. Here are some photos.

Beautiful church in the centre of the idyllic St. Augustine's conservation area, a leafy suburb of Edgbaston that's so quiet you wouldn't believe is less than a mile from the city centre. We don't go to church often, but when we do services are diverse, inclusive and reflective. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews about a bad wedding day, i don't believe this was the churches regular Vicar (Matthew), who's a lovely guy.
