The Libertine

My company held a team day here, using the lodge which is tucked behind the pub. We all agreed the venue added to the day. We felt relaxed because of the environment and how well we were looked after. There was also outdoor seating we could use, which was advertising bonus as the weather was really nice. We had some really tasty bacon baps for breakfast, a beautiful fruit platter to snack on and tasty, well filled sandwiches on really fresh bread for lunch. We were also kept well stocked up on drip filtered coffee, hot water for tea and cold water. The woman who looked after us was fantastic, keeping everything topped up and clearing away efficiently. Highly recommended.

We recently had our wedding reception at the Forge in the Libertine and cannot recommend them enough! They made the entire process stress free, were super accommodating and so friendly. Nothing was too much, in the build up and on the day! The team worked seamlessly to ensure we had everything exactly as we asked and really left us to it when we wanted them to! Poppy was excellent at organising everything, she responded promptly to emails and made sure the whole team knew what we were after. Anastasia served us for the evening, she was warm and smiley and exactly the right amount of attentive! Richard, the manager, was amazing, he gave us multiple tours and allowed us to decorate the room exactly how we wanted it. He also let us pack down the next morning rather than on the same night which was great! A last shout out to the chef! The menu was spot on, everyone loved their food and commented on how it was the best wedding food they’d ever had! Thank you so much Libertine! You really made our day so special.

This place really is a gem, the staff are extremely friendly and hospitable. They do a delicious monkey IPA beer and their Libertine burger is just delicious. Great atmosphere, would recommend. 🙂

We booked out The Forge for our wedding reception dinner and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff were so helpful and accommodating with our booking, allowing us free rein to set up the room exactly how we wanted it. It’s an amazing setting with the wood burner and industrial look. On the night, everyone’s food was brilliant and the menu got a lot of compliments! We could not have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend for anyone who wants to book their wedding. We’d like to say a special thank you to Poppy, Richard and Anastasia who pulled the whole thing together so perfectly for us!

had the croquette and the roast beef, lovely croquettes with the sauce. beef was overcooked but everything else was great and gravy was smooth and not too thick. our server Anastasia was so lovely and a joy! overall a great experience

Had a fantastic visit to The Libertine. The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and the atmosphere was welcoming from the moment we arrived. The staff were all friendly and attentive, but Mikey really stood out. They were incredibly helpful, made us feel looked after throughout our visit, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Excellent customer service that really made the experience memorable. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend The Libertine to anyone looking for great food, drinks, and outstanding service.

Had an amazing beef roast and my mum had the nut roast. Best roast I’ve ever had. Our server Abigail was friendly, informative and attentive, made the whole experience that much better. Bartender mikey also served incredible drinks with amazing service. Will be back very soon. Thank you
