Aztec Hotel & Spa

I was really disappointed with my recent stay, especially as I had previously had a lovely experience at this place in May and was looking forward to returning. I booked here as a birthday treat for myself, so I had high expectations and was hoping for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the rooms was a major disappointment. The first room I was given had a big spider, numerous moths flying around and what appeared to be balls of hair under the desk. I was uncomfortable staying in the room and asked the reception for another one. They told me intially the hotel was fully booked and couldnt do anything. Then, managed to find me an alternative room. I was told this was an upgrade due to the room being larger. However, the size wasn't really the issue. I wanted a clean, comfortable space where I could relax and get a good night's sleep. Unfortunately, I still didn't feel comfortable and struggled to sleep properly. The layout of the whole room was off and carries such a bad energy. The food was also disappointing. Overall, this stay was a very different experience from my previous visit and unfortunately left me feeling so disappointed. Not worth the money and wont be returning.

I had an amazing stay at Aztec Hotel & Spa for my birthday weekend with my wife and son. From the moment we arrived, the staff made the experience feel extra special with a thoughtful birthday card and chocolates waiting for me in the room — such a lovely touch. The room was spacious, very comfortable, and perfect for the three of us. I also really appreciated the character and style of the hotel interior; the architecture and décor gave the whole place a unique atmosphere and, as a photographer, I found myself taking lots of pictures throughout the stay. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of good options, and the leisure facilities were fantastic. We really enjoyed using the pool, steam room, and sauna, which made the weekend even more relaxing. Overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable stay, and I’d definitely recommend Aztec Hotel & Spa to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming getaway in Bristol.

The highlight for us was definitely the spa. The staff went above and beyond to make my wife’s birthday feel really special. They were so thoughtful, attentive and genuinely kind – little touches that made the whole experience memorable. The facilities themselves are excellent, and we both left feeling properly looked after and refreshed. Breakfast the next morning was also very good – a solid selection of hot and cold options, everything fresh, and the staff were friendly and efficient.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Modern room, comfy bed and decent aircon. We had a lovely massage after surfing at The Wave all day which was just down the road. Breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed eating outside both days. The restaurant had a really nice menu incl.seasonal specials and food was lovely. Everyone was very helpful, the receptionist and also Tracey at breakfast in particular. Liked the cold milk and water stations outside the rooms!
