We didn't stay here so I can't comment on the rooms although a visiting client stayed here and he said the rooms were lovely. We went for afternoon tea, I had to amend the booking and change days but they were really good about it and very very helpful. All the staff are are happy and glad to see you, very helpful and friendly. The afternoon tea was delightful and amazing soup to start. Sandwiches were delicious and the cakes yummy. Had a glass of prosecco too which was lovely and a couple of cocktails which were really good. Decor was lovely, very sumptuous feel, emerald greens and dark green velvet, loved the wallpaper too. Would definitely recommend for afternoon tea, might try the restaurant next time.

We just had a lovely stay at The Lawrence Hotel. We booked dinner, bed&breakfast through secret escapes and it amazing!! Alison checked us in and told us we had an upgrade too which was really nice of her to do. The dinner that evening was so nice, which was a 2 course meal and the food was outstanding. Our little waitress, unfortunately we didn't get her name but she was brilliant. She was seeing to everyone and was really helpful, courteous and just lovely. Breakfast again that was lovely, lots of choices, which you picked the evening before and you could have cereal, porridge etc before and then have your main breakfast. Would definitely recommend for a little night or two away!!

Attended a wedding at the Lawrence hotel this weekend and stayed the night, everything was perfect, the ceremony, the reception, the meal and the disco afterwards (good DG) the room was fine. Excellent breakfast this morning, the staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend the Lawrence, its a family run hotel not a corporate one and you can tell. Friendly and welcoming hotel.

This is an absolute gem of a place to stay, if you want to explore the surrounding area. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Everything here is client focused, they want you to have the best time and try to ensure you have everything you need. The food is delicious, we enjoyed their breakfasts and their evening meals. The rooms are amazing and the beds are so comfortable. Just book it, you wont be disappointed.
