Ashfield House Events

We recently held a reception/celebration of our mum’s life after her funeral, and the experience was outstanding in every way. Having never been to the venue before, we were a little apprehensive about what to expect — but those worries were completely unfounded. From our very first enquiry, we were met with genuine warmth, professionalism, and care. The team provided truly personal service, and nothing was too much trouble. Every detail was handled with such thoughtfulness and attention, which made a difficult day feel calm, supported, and beautifully organised. The building itself is lovely and welcoming, creating exactly the right atmosphere for family and friends to gather, share memories, and feel at ease. The catering was excellent, and everything ran seamlessly, allowing us to focus on being together as a family. We are deeply grateful for the compassion and dedication shown throughout. It made a world of difference on a very emotional day. Highly recommended

We used Ashfield House for a wake, as it is ideally situated for the Stapenhill Cemetery and Mount St Church, where the ceremonies took place. The staff were easy to deal with and you could actually talk to them rather than deal with an internet portal! The building and main room used is clean bright, and airy and was ideal for the 50-ish guests. The bar was well-stocked and there is plenty of parking for all guests. The buffet was ideal for the event and reasonably priced. I would have no hesitation in using Ashfield House again.

I had my husbands wake at Ashfield House and it was perfect venue,the buffett was lovely and plenty of selection. I cant thank Alex and his staff enough.

We found Ashfield House to be really helpful and guided us to which catering package suited our needs when arranging my Mother in Laws funeral wake. Nothing was too much trouble and they happily made some of my Mother in Laws favourite foods esp for the day, just to add that personalised touch. Alex talked us through everything and showed us the function room which suited our needs perfectly. On the day, tea/Coffee were available to the family,the food was amazing and in very generous portions. We cant thank Alex and his team enough for making the day the perfect send off. We held the wake of a family member at Ashfield House on 10.3.26. I was very impressed with everything about the booking from beginning to end. The personal service the food the venue itself was all perfect, we could nit have asked for better. Thank everyone at Ashfield House.

I cannot recommend Ashfield House enough. The venue has such a lovely relaxing atmosphere, Yesterday we was there for my Mums wake, Alex and his catering team did a fantastic job of the food and it was exactly what Mum would've wished for. Food was lovely and all fresh, Everyone complimented on how nice the food was and the room too.. Glad we found this little hidden gem.

Ashfield house was the perfect venue for my father's wake, close to Bretby Crematorium - on the same road towards Burton, ample of parking, the room and facilities were excellent. Alex was extremely helpful with our needs and food requests. The food and presentation was excellent. The bar was essential part to the day! Charlie was very friendly & efficient. Thank you for making a difficult day a little easier.
