Bridwell

What a total gem! Free entry, free parking, so much space to walk, picnic and view the wildlife. The deer and geese were a highlight for us. The cafe is lovely, very spacious and a great range of lunches, cakes and beverages. There’s also a small shop in one corner of the cafe, which sells local produce and gifts.

Such a wonderful space. So lucky to have it open to the public. Excellent little tea shop too

Private house with gardens and grounds open to the public (not the house!) year round. It has a weekday café (The Orangery) but crucially it is home to the Uffulme Show which happens every August Bank Holiday. Also other shows, like the Makers Show in June and Christmas Market. In the grounds are 2 herds of deer, I believe. Definitely worth a visit.

Attended an Artisan Fair here. The views across the rolling hills of the park are beautiful. A climbing road towards the house with plenty of parking alongside. If your lucky as you come to the top the deer will be there to great you. In front of you is an imposing white Grade I listed classic Georgian house built in early Regency style. Commanding its position on the hill.Sympathetic orangery adjacent houses the cafe with fresh coffee, tea cakes and lunch.Beautiful chapel behind the house has gorgeous views as you come out the door across the parkland. Bridewell also offers weddings and an extensive events calendar throughout the year. Parkland is open for a walk, dogs on a lead please for the deers sake. Top Tip 1. If going for lunch get there early as it's always busy. Top Tip 2. Make a day of it if there is an event on Plenty of space to play games.

Really lovely time at the cafe today. Having young kids it's sometimes hard to find somewhere that's kid friendly and where you feel you don't get judged by the staff for kids simply being kids ! But the staff here were so lovely, the cakes fab, and they even had crayons and basic activities for the kids. These little extras make us mum's want to come back and are really appreciated.
