What a gem. A beautiful cafe in Rutherglen Town Hall with double height glass ceiling. I had a superb chilli and baked potato for £6.10. Friendly staff, lots of space

We attended Jack & the bean stalk last night 19.30. Show was absolutely fabulous!! My little boy lost his laser light & the staff gave him another one. Staff were so kind & very helpful. Panto was amazing! Thank you all x

A great night was had by my family at the pantomime on Saturday Well done to everyone all friendly/helpful. Lovely lounge, great performance by everyone thanks for a fab night.

Recent reception review ,after reporting that the Oldest Royal Burgh in Scotland has the Union flag laying against the clock and should be replaced in its proper position "Quote"we need specialist contractors to deal with this "---five (5) weeks later still not replaced !TWO days before Rememberance Sunday ----well done to all concerned millions of dead British service men salute you

First visit in 15 months. Staff have obviously been told to be rigid in application of covid restrictions.The once buzzing place,was empty devoid of its usual atmosphere.No cakes or bakery goods on display.More seats than necessary removed.These covid restrictions are just sucking the life out of every hospitality venue. Regardless, cases keep going up,so these measures aren't working.The wrong places are being targeted for strict rule enforcement.Makes you feel like staying home which is probably the idea.This is a huge space, they could put up a big screen and let loadsa fans in to watch EURUGH! 2020 cos that's okay😱Isn't it? 27th Sept 2022. Getting back to normal now Had lovely chicken and mushroom soup. Great coffee.Seems to have busy peaks but also flat times.I have always liked this venue cos of its bright spacious atmosphere. Visited again today tues 7th Feb 10 a.m. scrambled egg roll was delicious. Place was not busy, used to be full of young mums with babies in prams.Post covid and current financial crisis means people are just not going out as much at any time of day.6/10/23. Glad to say things remain unchanged which is great cos its fine the way it is. Today great coffee and belgian bun fun.😊 5/12/23. Xmas time is always nice in the cafe with a superb tree. Unusually deserted this afternoon but it was late in the day😳🎄19/8/24 No changes which is great Food and ambiance good as ever. 29/7/25 Remiss of me not to have mentioned how nice, helpful and friendly the staff are here. I have introduced many friends to this place, another first timer today, who also commented on the good service. I come here alone a lot, to chill, read a paper and enjoy the great food and service😊
