The Engine Works

We got married at the Engine Works at the end of May 2026, and it truly is the most stunning venue. We completely fell in love with it from the moment we first visited, it was actually the only venue we viewed because we knew it was the one! I honestly can’t recommend it enough. Every single one of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how incredibly well everything was run. We were given a lot of helpful information and lists of suppliers which really helped in the planning process. We went with vendors who frequently work with the Engine works. I believe this helped with it all running smooth. The venue has a lot of stunning areas for your photos including access to the canal behind the venue and plenty of private rooms ! A special mention has to go to Klara, our wedding coordinator. She made the whole day run so smoothly and was such a calming, reassuring presence. She put me completely at ease, especially just before the ceremony when I was panicking. She brought my vision to life with the layout of our personal items on the morning of. She was very attentive on the run up , making sure everything was finalised. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue or team to help make our day so special !

From the get go, we were so impressed by the engine works. The venue itself is beautiful and the staff are fantastic. We chose it for our wedding party after a small wedding a few months prior. We were blown away by how well presented and organised the space was and the fact it was a (stunning) blank canvas for us really helped us make up our mind . The engine works staff are so switched on and answered questions about our day that we didn’t even know we’d have yet! The venue itself is so customisable, and the vendors recommended to us via our assigned coordinators were all fantastic as well. We would 100% recommend the engine works for a wedding, we couldn’t have asked for a better day. My husband and I got married at the engine works in May! It was everything and more. We had the best day of our lives!! Klara and the staff at the venue were amazing, Klara went over and above for us to ensure we had the most perfect day and was super calming on the lead up to the wedding! We got so many compliments from our family and friends on how beautiful the venue was! We are gutted we won’t be back here anytime soon but we will never forget it!! We are so grateful 🤍🤍

The best of the best! We had the most incredible wedding day, but even before then working with the team was so easy, professional and fun. Nothing was too big of an issue, they answered questions promptly and ensure the day went off without a hitch. Could not recommend Hannah and the rest of the team enough. Thank you again for giving us the day we dreamed of!

We just had our wedding at Engine Works and honestly cannot recommend them highly enough. All the staff were amazing throughout the whole process, but special shout out to our on-the-day coordinator Klara, who got everything running like clockwork so we were able to just relax and enjoy the day, even with 150 guests and multiple suppliers to organise. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and perfect for the welcome reception, ceremony, dinner and evening party. Would definitely recommend anyone who's thinking of having their wedding here, please go for it. 10/10, would do again if we could!

Fraser and I have been together for 12 years and for about the last 5 years the Engine Works has been on my Pinterest board as my dream wedding venue. 5 days after we got engaged we viewed the venue (the owner thought I was mad when I told him we’d only been engaged for 5 days) and knew it was the one. Not only was it aesthetically everything we were after but all staff were amazing start to finish. Hannah deserves a huge mention as the most amazing co-ordinator who was on top of everything but so laidback at the same time. There was not a question that was too much and she was always fast in her response to any email. I had my doubts as a control freak who had always imagined setting up their own venue the day before but after our final walk through with Hannah I knew we were in safe hands and could totally relax and hand everything over to her. There is not a single thing I’d change about our day and the Engine Works executed everything to perfection! So many of our guests had never seen our venue before and were totally blown away by it. A big thing for me was that I didn’t want a room change over for our day which was something we didn’t need to worry about with the Engine Works as there really was a space for everything. The venue is also the perfect back drop for photos if you’re after that industrial feel. I loved the way we were able to customise everything and having looked at other weddings here every single one is so individual to the couple. We were also able to make last minute changes and add things like a bar tab the day before when we had a little money left in our budget. I could genuinely gush about the Engine Works all day and hope someone else invites us to their wedding there soon so we can experience it all again!

We got married at the Engine Works in March 2026 and couldn't be more impressed with the level of service we received not only on the wedding but through out the whole wedding planning process. From our first tour of the venue we knew it was the one for us; it's such a great space that has plenty room for guests to move about through out the day which was really important to us as we wanted to minimise any feeling of 'waiting around' that guests can feel at venues when room turnovers need to occur. You can see the level of care and attention to detail that has gone into turning this historic building into the fab events venue it now is. The staff at the Engine Works were fabulous to work with and really held our had through the planning process as needed (they were very patient with my slow email replies!) they truly went above and beyond, no question or ask was too big/small. Erin, our venue co-ordinator, was fantastic and liaised with all our suppliers as needed to finalise logistical details in the weeks leading up to our wedding. The bar staff were also incredible and had the great idea for a post dinner shots bar - something that went down VERY well with out guests. Our wedding day was genuinely the best day and a huge part of that was down to the Engine Works and all the fantastic staff - we can't thank them enough and highly recommend if you are considering it as your venue!
