Harrow School Speech Room

The Harrow School Speech Room is an impressive piece of the school’s historic campus and worth appreciating while walking through Harrow on the Hill. Its distinctive Victorian architecture and prominent position give it considerable presence, while its long association with speeches, performances, ceremonies, and generations of Harrovians makes it an interesting part of the school’s heritage. That said, I would treat the Speech Room as a pleasant pass-by rather than an essential standalone attraction. It fits beautifully into a wider walk around Harrow School, particularly alongside the surrounding historic buildings and St Mary’s Church, and is certainly worth a photograph if you are already there. If your itinerary is time-sensitive, however, I would not make a dedicated pit stop for it. Enjoy it as part of the wider Harrow experience rather than a destination in itself.

Depends what you like but we did a 90 min tour with Chris and not just a great insight into public schools but a great insight into how students from Harrow School shaped our world as we know it now. I had an incredible experience at the Harris School in London during a leadership program course. The facilities are truly outstanding, creating an ideal environment for learning and growth. Walking through the corridors and feeling the atmosphere of the buildings brought back wonderful memories of my time at boarding school in Australia. It was like stepping back into those cherished days. The school’s dedication to providing a top-notch experience really shines through, making it an unforgettable place for both education and personal reflection. Highly recommended!

Went to watch a concert, what amazing, historic venue. If you get the opportunity definitely worth a visit.
