Absolutely one of the worst venues and management teams I have ever dealt with. My cousin’s wedding here was meant to be a beautiful day, but the management completely ruined the experience with their disrespectful, unprofessional and unpleasant behaviour from the start. The most shocking part was turning the lights off an entire hour before our agreed finish time, locking the doors and then threatening us over our deposit. We were left feeling intimidated, humiliated and completely unwelcome on a day that should have been a celebration. The way this was handled caused our family unnecessary stress and upset and took away from what should have been a once-in-a-lifetime memory. I would strongly advise anyone considering this venue to think twice. Professionalism, respect and basic courtesy were completely lacking.
Nice venue. Location isn't the "poshes" as it's on a like a industrial place. Parking isn't the best as they have limited spaces inside and very little spaces outside. There's mostly industrial units, and they have their own parking. There is parking but up the road, and a bit far. The venue itself is mediocre from the inside. Reasonable size hallway and inside hall. I think it caters for around 250, maybe 300. The good thing is they have separate mens and womens prayer halls, which is very good.
Amazing venue and servuce We held our Jago party here and cannot fault the service or venue one bit. From Rakhee, Mohammed, the venue team we received amazing service and they deserve all the praise. Anything we needed we were given and it was reasurring to know the team would allow and trust us to hold our party the way we wanted it to be. Thank you guys so much.
Suitable for weddings, receptions and other private functions. There is local parking available a few buildings down and on the facility. Capacity definitely good for a 300 people function.
After hearing several horror stories about the service at The Venue, I now completely understand where they came from. Unfortunately, our own experience was enough to make us walk away, and I would strongly advise anyone considering booking to think very carefully before handing over any money. We were initially given a price by Rakhee that we were happy with, and this was provided to us in writing. My in-laws then went to pay the deposit, only to be told that the price had almost DOUBLED. The explanation was that we had apparently been "too pushy" and that she had been "under pressure" when she originally gave us the price. What I find particularly strange about this is that she was not being forced or rushed into anything. She was on the phone with my mum, discussing everything, while willingly sending over the quotation, documents and information. If she felt she was unable to provide an accurate price at that point, she could simply have said so. Instead, she provided a price in writing and then later decided that the customer was somehow responsible for the price she had chosen to give us. Even more disappointing was hearing that my mum was described to my in-laws as "pushy" and as having "pressured" her over the phone. Apparently, asking questions and wanting clarity about your own wedding is now considered pressure. If a customer asking questions is too much, perhaps customer service isn’t the right industry. Unfortunately, this wasn’t just one price change. The price was increased THREE times, despite us having the original quotation in writing. At that point, it became very clear that we could not rely on the price we had originally been given. We also became increasingly concerned by what appeared to us to be a strong focus on getting as much money out of the booking as possible. With a £1,000 refundable deposit involved, we were honestly left questioning whether there would later be an attempt to find a reason to retain some or all of it. After everything that had already happened with the pricing, we simply weren’t willing to take that risk. Another red flag was hearing that comments had been made about my mum to my in-laws. There was absolutely no family disagreement or issue between us whatsoever, so attempting to make my in-laws view my mum negatively was particularly unnecessary and unprofessional. Thankfully, the attempt to sow those seeds didn’t work — if anything, it simply raised another red flag for us. After speaking to Rakhee myself, I decided that regardless of how much I liked The Venue as a potential wedding hall, I would not be comfortable giving that amount of money to someone whose communication I found patronising, inconsistent and unprofessional. Thankfully, we have since found our ideal venue and the difference has been night and day. We are dealing with someone who is professional, transparent and actually understands that customer satisfaction matters. The Venue itself may be lovely, but unfortunately a nice hall does not make up for poor communication and inconsistent business practices. For us, the way this situation was handled completely put us off. We are honestly very glad we spotted the red flags before handing over a single penny.
