Firle Place

Firle Place opens to the public only on certain days, and my sister and I visited during the garden show in April. We spent a good four hours there and felt it was well worth the visit. Tickets were about £10 each, with an additional cost to enter the Girls Place house. There’s plenty of space for parking, which is free (or rather, included in the ticket price). The event offered lots to see — from beautiful garden furniture to handmade cards. You won’t go hungry either, as there are plenty of refreshment stations with food and alcohol tastings, and you can even purchase items to take home. Families are well catered for too, with activities like egg hunts and a kids’ entertainment area. The venue also hosts weddings, which could be perfect if you’re planning a special day. Overall, it was a lovely outing with lots to enjoy for all ages.

I ADORE being at Firle Place and getting the opportunity to flower this gorgeous wedding venue for my couples. There are so many spaces to choose from to create a memorable and heartfelt ceremony, and the Riding School is a blank canvas that couples can truly have fun with and make their own, whilst still keeping the magic the space offers. A beautiful setting , gorgeous garden and lovely stately home. The shop was open on our visit and we sat outside a great place to admire the grounds and views .

A very well maintained and glorious Georgian mansion set in beautiful landscape. The tea room serves fresh cut sandwiches and a couple of tasty quiches which, with the salad and s few crisps made an excellent light lunch ( I had cake too). Staff are helpful and efficient. The tea room terrace is a delight.

What a hidden Gem, Fabulous Tea room, friendly staff, will definitely be visiting again soon, Guided tour of the house possible but you need to pre book. Tea room is open to visit without booking. Single track road up to the house about 1/2 mile long, sheep grazing openly so speed to be kept to a minimum, Cattle grid at entrance to estate. Beautiful gardens.

Absolutely love this wedding venue, its probably one of my top 5 venues in the UK. Love love love it and also the team at Blue Door Weddings are fab. Can't wait to visit again soon to photograph another Firle wedding. Lemonade Pictures xx

We were lucky to get a private tour with a very knowledgeable guide. Great history, well-kept estate. Tasty treats in the tea room.
