The building itself is a sight for sore eyes. The landscaping is well over due for maintenance. The entrance to the hotel is around the back of a petrol station. The first building you see looks abandoned. Bar is permanently closed along with the restaurant but on their website the menu is still active which is strange considering it is permanently closed. It was like being in a ghost town. We lasted 20 minutes there went to reception and got a refund immediately. The gentleman on reception was really nice and understanding. We Booked into another hotel just a few minutes down the road. 100% would never recommend this place to anyone. Even the access for pedestrians is ridiculous. You have to walk on the exit of the petrol station forecourt to get out of the gates (no pedestrian gates)

I visited this venue for a full-day conference and found it to be a comfortable and pleasant place to spend the day. It was a little warm inside at times, although that was largely due to the exceptionally hot weather outside. One of the highlights of the venue is its beautiful garden, which is filled with a variety of flowers and creates a lovely setting. There are several function rooms of different sizes available for hire, making the venue suitable for a range of events. On-site accommodation is also available for guests who wish to stay overnight. At first glance, the parking area at the front appears quite limited. However, there is a much larger parking area further inside the grounds, which was able to accommodate conference attendees arriving by car as well as guests attending a wedding that happened to be taking place at the same time. Overall, it is a well-equipped venue with attractive surroundings and good facilities for conferences, celebrations, and other events.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and felt it was good value for money. The room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed, with the flexible check-in, spacious parking and dog-friendly approach all being real positives. There were a few quirks, such as the plug sockets being quite a distance from the bed and the hidden switch for the bedside lights, which weren’t deal-breakers but did feel a little inconvenient. The hotel itself is a little dated, which is reflected in the price, but the communal areas could do with more attention. The dead moth on the staircase remained there for all three days of our stay, along with a stale smell, which gave the impression these areas weren’t being checked or cleaned regularly. Bathroom still has pull cords for lights which are deep brown in colour compared to the white near the ceiling. With a little more attention to these details, it would be an even better place to stay, and we’d happily return.

The room was large and spacious. Everything you need is in the room: a fridge (water bottles), chairs and a table for a croissant. The beds are clean and comfortable. The pillows are definitely too high. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful ☺️ For breakfast, the chef served us fried eggs with bacon, which was tasty. We only missed a good espresso machine, which is essential for us. The station (and the shop inside) are 2 minutes from the hotel. Access to the city center is very easy, with buses running every 5 minutes. I definitely recommend it.

Requested a refund due to the room I'd paid £110 for was still dirty from the previous occupants despite arriving at 7pm. No air conditioning was present despite the hotel assuring us it was available, only a 16" desk fan in the room. Blood stains found inside the bed and ceiling tiles falling in. Receptionist lady was very polite and refunded without any hassle. Do yourself a favour and seek better accommodation 5 minutes up the road for a fraction of the price.
