The Royal George

This was our first visit to The Royal George and certainly won't be our last. We were greeted by a lovely young man called Daniel who led us to our table and explained the process for the carvery. The food was amazing really good value for money but the thing that stood out mostly was the service from Daniel, he was so friendly and polite and very well mannered. He is a credit to The Royal George and we look forward to visiting again in the near future

Been coming here for years and always forget to leave a review. We absolutely love the Royal George. Always has such a nice atmosphere. Food is great, JW lee's Beers always go down nicely. Staff are friendly and attentive (especially the restaurant serving end). Roomy carpark. Lots of tables available ( but still worth booking as it gets busy at weekend) See you soon

Called here for Sunday lunch with Betty dog in tow. All had lovely delicious food and a special shout out for carvery bits brought for Betty, which she loved 😍 🐶 Many thanks for great service from the Stanny Clan & Betty🐾

Classic pub food, but done to a really high standard. The meals we had were simple enough on paper—a burger and a steak sandwich—but that's exactly what made them so impressive. Everything was cooked perfectly, beautifully presented, and absolutely packed with flavour. The staff were warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We also had our dog with us, who was made just as welcome, which was a lovely touch. Great food, great service, and a genuinely dog-friendly atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

the welcome was lovely. Dogs are allowed so after going for a walk it was very nice to sit in a lovely clean welcoming environment with my dog (dog bowls for water also available). service at the bar was excellent and I will definitely visit again. Cannot give feedback on the food as I only had one refreshing gin and tonic, but it smelled lovely!
