The Kings Croft Hotel

I have attended a few Christmas functions here which are always fun and the food is generally pretty good. I recently met with friends for a meal on a Friday evening. The service was great and food was nice but not amazing. I chose roast beef and yorkshire pudding with creme brulee for dessert. The portions a generous, including 3 big thick pieces of beef. One slice was tender and devious the other two were chewy and I edible unfortunately. The dessert was fine but lacking a bit of flavour. I would eat here again as the price for 2 courses is really good and I feel I may have got a bad cut of beef. The rest of our party really enjoyed their meal.

Beautiful traditional hotel. Lot's of quirky little rooms and good sized function rooms. Went to a fabulous event showcasing Ray Lewis, lead singer from The Drifters. Outstanding performance as always! Highly recommend this show... The 2 course meal was incredible!! Amazing food and service. We stayed over, the rooms were spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast was of a very high standard, well presented and was delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to book an event, go for food and stay over again! Highly recommend this delightful hotel. 😊

Emailed kingscroft after the george michael night. Explaining my best friend an i had put our christmas/birthday money together to enjoy a night in the hotel and event night. It was a disaster. After our meal 30 mins after my friend started vomiting. She went straight to the room. I finished my drink then went straight up. I woke vomiting at 5am. We both had the salmon. We left very early and spent all day in bed ill. I did email kingscroft and explained what had happened and asked if they would check the meal n if anyone else was ill. No reply, which just topped the whole trip. This was such a shame as the staff n service was lovely on the night but will not be returning again due to lack of empathy/response. Cheers kingscroft.
