Fantastic food. Best roast belly pork that I have had for a long time. The beer was also good. Visited on a Friday evening and this place was rocking. The 3 waiters were run off their feet. Live music outside. Two distinct areas, the traditional pub and the restaurant.

We had intended eating elsewhere, but that fell through and with a quick google search we discovered The Patten Arms. What a great little hidden gem. We were only after a light lunch, and they were perfect. The beer garden was superb and with a beautiful sunny day, fantastic. Talking with the landlady she explained about how it had all changed since lock-down and necessary diversification, leading to them being a wedding venue etc. If we are ever passing though again it is definitely on our list of eateries.

Called in after a long walk along the Lancaster canal. Weather was fabulous so we sat in the lovely beer garden. Staff were brilliant, bringing a water bowl for the dog and our drinks to the table. Food choice and quality is fantastic and good value too. Can’t praise them enough and will definitely be returning soon.

Called on the off chance for evening meal, the staff were so welcoming and accommodated us. Food both from the specials and the main menu was superb and a cut above your typical pub fare. The guest cask ales were top notch justifying this pub in the Good Beer Guide. So glad we called in 🙏🏽

Well worth a visit. Lovely country pub with exceptional dining. 6-course tasting menu with matching wines every 6 weeks (7th-8th August 2025 then end Sept date TBC. Music festival 25th July weekend too!!

Went here for a meal with our car club. All the food was excellent and the service was brilliant. Steak & kidney pudding was the best I’ve ever had. Homemade and huge, filled with plenty of meat. Will definitely be back to have that again!!
