The Mowbray

Such a beautiful venue with an incredible team. This summer we got to host an artisan market and print fair at The Mowbray and sister venue Victoria, and had the most magical day. Great food, wonderful community, we loved every minute. Highly recommend for your own events and celebrations.

Great supper club, well organised and staff very attentive. Food was fresh and vibrant with generous "homestyle" portions that not only look good on a photo but fill you up. Drink selection was varied with high quality spirits and cocktails. Plus a roof terrace....the perfect event venue

Cannot recommend The Mowbray enough as a wedding venue! My partner and I held our reception here and everything was perfect, from the delicious and plentiful food to attentive staff and beautiful decor. There was literally nothing we would have changed! All the staff we interacted with, both in the run-up to and on the day itself, were so friendly, professional and helpful, responding to a few last minute changes quickly and effortlessly, and making us and our guests feel welcome and looked after. The venue were really helpful to our external DJ as well, and were super accommodating of our friends and families with babies. Even the security staff were getting involved on the dancefloor and were so friendly! All our guests said how much they loved The Mowbray as a venue, and we strongly encourage others to hold their special celebrations here too.

The atmosphere was good! A great selection of drinks too. However, the food did not live up to the atmosphere. It was Italian night. The starter: bread and dip was nice, but then the fritters were very heavy and big. 2 big balls split between the two of us, leaving very little space for the mains. The mains: very very dry meatballs with little sauce and little pasta. Salad was really nice. A well needed portion of greens to balance the meat heavy starter and main. The dessert: very heavy and dense dessert for such heavy two courses previously. Would have preferred something light like Tiramisu. Expected a bit more for the price we paid (£38).

We had our university summer ball at the mowbray and i couldn’t recommend it more! The staff were so lovely and attentive, venue was beautiful and the food was delicious!! Would 100% recommend for any occasion, and we will definitely be back.

Just amazing food and cocktails. Restaurant is beautiful. They've worked social distancing into the experience so seamlessly too. Service is really friendly and attentive.
