Victoria Hall

We went to a fair at Victoria Hall today. What a stunning building in great condition. The was a vintage Home & Fashion Fair. Some interesting and unique items available for sale. I bought three Elephants 🐘 🐘🐘 to add to my collection. Two of the Elephants are made out of shells 🐚 so therefore called Shellephants 😅. I love Saltaire and also lovely to have Victoria Hall to visit.

I had my wedding day at Victoria Hall recently and I couldn’t have asked for a more friendly and helpful team to assist in making our day perfect! We arranged our day as a party package rather than a wedding package as we did not require food or an official legal ceremony but the team went above and beyond to help us get everything in order and provide assistance wherever they could! From arranging time aside for us to set up the day before, to helping us put up decorations and plan the layout of the room, we couldn’t be more grateful for the help they provided 🙂 Beauriful venue, beautiful team!

This spacious and impressive wedding venue has bags of character and is nestled in the heart of picturesque Saltaire. If you are looking for an alternative venue with vintage vibes then this is the one for you. I loved delivering a ceremony in The York (pink) Room and then seeing how stylish the Main Hall looked as it was used for the rest of the day. I hope to be back soon!

Victoria Hall was the perfect venue for our wedding! The team were helpful, professional and friendly from start to finish. We felt in safe hands, all our ideas were met with enthusiasm and the organisation was incredible. Behind the scenes, the team coordinated with our suppliers and made sure everything ran smoothly. They were very hands-on for set up and on the day, and they did everything with a huge smile! As a venue, it's just beautiful and it was the ideal venue for a big ceilidh party! Thank you 🙂 (It's also worth adding, our friends and family loved the close proximity to the train station, hotels and AirBnBs, it's a nice easy location for everyone to get to. Victoria Hall was the perfect place for our colourful, whimsical and sustainable DIY wedding! The architecture and colour palette mean that you actually don’t have to do much to make it look spectacular and show stopping. We booked the entire venue and used every single room (Glen room for ceremony, Evans room for cocktail hour, York room for our meal and the main hall for our party). The crossover for guests was seamless and the Victoria Hall team worked magically and efficiently to make the day run smoothly. We booked the venue for the Friday, the day before our wedding for a small extra cost and I would highly recommend doing this! It meant us and our loved ones could spend even more time running around this beautiful building and make it all perfect ourselves. We were very lucky to be blessed with a beautiful sunny May bank holiday and the gardens out front were more than enough space for our 70 guests to enjoy and I didn’t even notice any passersby - it felt surprisingly private! The venue being so well connected to hotels and the train station made it super easy for evening guests to come too. The food and drink situation is a little more complicated at VH because of the lack of kitchen and the fact you have to use their in house Alpaca Bar but it was easily manageable. For food, we chose charcuterie style grazing boards and served pizza from local spot, Il Pirata, which was absolutely brilliant. I highly recommend using them! We also did corkage with the Alpaca Bar so we could bring in our own drinks. It wasn’t particularly cheap however we liked how customised we could make it! The bar staff of Alpaca Bar were exceptional on the day, quick and polite and high energy too! Rowan made sure me and my husband (HUSBAND!!) had our signature cocktails and was so attentive and friendly. Sorrel, Victoria Hall’s wedding co-ordinator, was nothing shy of an angel sent from heaven above!!! She answered our late night emails, met us in person multiple times and was so genuinely enthusiastic and excited about our wedding. By the end, she felt more of a friend than a member of staff. If you’re debating getting married at Victoria Hall, do it!!! It will be the best decision you make in wedding planning! Thank you Sorrel, Rowan and everyone involved.
