Shrewsbury Castle

Excellent visit yesterday. The castle is beautiful with stunning views over Shrewsbury. We were particularly impressed with the gentleman who spoke to us about the weaponry - he was very informed, friendly and answered our many questions. The only reservation that we had was there was hardly any information about the castle itself. The gardens were beautifully kept and staff were very polite. Highly recommend.

Lovely place when you go on top Laura,s tower beutiful all town views. Nice castle park it's free to visit aswell if u want to go inside the Castle then have to pay.

5 mintues walk from Station, a sight you cannot miss, real attraction spot for anyone who loves castles and garden. Laura tower's entrance is on the right side of the castle gate.

the castle and the surrounding grounds is a nice place to visit,there's history boards in different spots.i didn't go in this visit but the views over town look good

Utterly magnificent! I'd recommend the museum to everyone. It doesn't glorify war but recognises the ultimate sacrifice that so many local men made. All of the campaigns in the last 300 years are remembered, it doesn't feel like a stuffy history type of museum as is right upto date today. The staff were friendly and informative, I came away with a far greater sense of knowledge about the world we live in now and how conflicts begin and end.
