Excellent facilties in immaculate condition and well done to the dads army on the flowers. Would have given it 6 stars but the ruddy bar was shut the day I was there 😖😖
I didn't attend this establishment in order to play cricket. I attended it for a family birthday celebration. Which meant no cricket but plenty of drinks. Overall I enjoyed my time here but that was mainly down to seeing family and friends. The venue itself was fine though. Bogs, beers and music. What more do you need?
The fireworks display was good foods was nice and good fireworks but i don't like that there only have kids rides for little kids but not big kids rides so some kids was bord beacuse there cant go on to much rides so I would say for firework display tonight is bit bad good for little ones but not big kids
Went here for the fireworks display, well organised plenty to do for little money for a family of 4. Why the low rating you’re asking? On the ticket it states to be there at 4.30 to find out that the display doesn’t start until 7.30. No parking on site even for my disabled wife, the staff on the entrance was in agreement but they have been told it’s the golf club car park? After dropping the family off I parked the car up the road. On entering the club again it was so organised with staff on the gates again very polite and apologised for not being able to park nearby. We went into the club to use the facilities unfortunately my wife couldn’t use the disabled toilets due to the amount of boxes and other stuff that was being stored in there. We left early due to no seating and a very long wait for the firework display. Look all in all it was a great idea the fairground was an excellent idea I’m more annoyed that they didn’t think more about a disabled person and communicated on the tickets about the above.
Attended for the first time last night for the fireworks display / event. Paid £15 for a family of 4 to go (2 adults, 2 children making a saving of £5 on single ticket price). Tickets were available through a 3rd party website (eventbrite). Arrived for just after 6 pm and really struggled to park (I have a disabled daughter), so this was a huge issue. I had tried to call the venue in the afternoon and didn't get an answer. I had to park with great difficulty in a housing estate, which was difficult to navigate due to the sheer volume of cars attempting to do the same thing! Parked with a walk to the venue, and I was surprised by the sheer volume of people going to the same place. With it being a paid ticketed event, I assumed the number of people in attendance would be limited. It appears I assumed incorrectly. Once at the club I was stopped by a high vis jacket member of staff to check my Tickets and she seemed to not want to check my tickets properly, leading me to believe there could have been people attending without tickets. (I could be wrong, but I don't think I am) Once inside it was so busy we soon realised the family evening out was going to be a disaster! My five year old really wanted to experience the fair ground rides, but the queues were far too big. The drink queue was very big. I estimate that we would have been waiting over 30 minutes at least to be served. So we didn't bother experiencing the rides or the drinks / food. The same applied for the queue to the toilets, too. Luckily, the voice over told us what time the fireworks were going to start, so we made our way to a spare place by the tape to enjoy the fireworks. It was very dark so we were conscious of staying together. It was so populated it would have been easy to lose one another. We were told by another person that his daughter paid £9 for a burger. The fireworks were very good. We thoroughly enjoyed the display but that is all that was good. When it come to exiting the venue it was so busy we waited a long time, squashed in like sardines trying to get out of one solitary gate. This made me wonder that if anything had gone "wrong" on the night, evacuating people wouldn't have been quick or safe. There were far too many people, and far too few attractions to serve people. I wouldn't return. The only positive was the display. But paying £15 for the display alone in my opinion is too steep. It seemed the sale of tickets were more important to the venue than the satisfaction of people.
