Newton Manor Hall

I stayed at Newton Manor Hall in June with seven school friends (all in our 60's now) and I can thoroughly recommend it to any small groups or for families who want a few days in Swanage. Alan was the perfect host, whose local knowledge about everything was extremely useful. He stays in the same building with his own access, so can be available as much or as little as you need. The facilities were perfect and although we were exploring the area for the majority of our time, we were able to cook up a decent fried breakfast in the kitchen on a couple of mornings as well as relaxing in the evenings just chatting. The main living space with high vaulted ceiling is truly amazing, with a huge dining table, several sofas around a table in front of the ornate fireplace, suit of armour as well as a piano & other instruments for any budding musicians to play. A lovely garden at the front is well tended and you may see Alan pottering out there to keep it in good order. It is about a 15 minute easy walk to the sea front, with a number of good pubs en-route. Enjoy !

We had a small wedding at Swanage Town Hall and Newton Manor Hall was ideal place for us to stay and as a venue to gather after the ceremony for dinner. It was nice to have the space for everyone to sit round a table together. The garden is lovely and was a relaxing place to sit. The bedrooms are lovely, clean and spacious. Alan was a great host, friendly, helpful but gave us privacy and space. Would recommend to others.

This is a magnificent, historic space with a glorious garden. The facilities are excellent, with comfort for adults and plenty of games for children. It is within easy reach of the station for the wonderful Swanage steam train, and an easy walk to the beach. Alan is a wonderfully kind, considerate, generous and tolerant host. Strongly recommended.

Amazing ! My family stayed here for our wedding weekend and they had the best time. The hall was beautiful and had everything they needed. The garden was stunning and I cannot fault Alan as a host, he was attentive, welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed ! Would love to come back

What a gem of a location - beautiful garden, a place full of character as well as the mini grand piano which we played during the evenings. And the wonderfully kind host Alan - we hope to be back in the future.
