The hotel grounds are pretty grand and has an element of grandeur. Historic features with dark wooden finishing and stain glassed windows give this hotel so much charachter. Lots of lovely trees making it very scenic. The winding path with lights is beautiful. Plenty if parking. The hotel its self is a 4 star for sure but the rooms really need some tlc. The bed was not made properly at all. The cob webs all around the window opening could have easily been cleaned but they looked as ancient as the hotel itself. The fan was also verry poor so was unfortunately a hot sleepless night. Breakfast was okay. Nothing amazing but was okay. Despite all of this I would still consider coming here again.

Beautiful hotel for our wedding. The whole day ran so smoothly. Nicky, our wedding coordinator, consistently updated us throughout our planning process and made us feel at ease on the day. All the staff that made our day ran smoothly we'd also love to thank. The food was superb and our guests said how lovely the day was. We can't fault anything! Thank you for making our day so perfect!

Peaceful grounds, amazing evening food menu. Lovely terrace, great staff on hand very polite and nothing too much trouble. Room amd bathroom clean, walk in shower was great, powerful shower. Definitely stay again. Breakfast Lovely, good choices, if I had to be picky I'd say I'd prefer a different type of vege sausage with breakfast please.

I stayed at this hotel and booked a deluxe double, it definitely wasn’t deluxe, nothing special about it, no air conditioning, no fridge, 1 bottle of water for 2 people in a heatwave but did give us an additional fan on request. Outside terrace didn’t have enough staff, as lovely as they were and worked hard. Then we found out a couple had a SUITE for the same days we were staying and paid £398, Whereas we paid just over £800 for a deluxe double. Breakfast was very greasy. We had stayed at The St Pancras Hotel in London a few months before, for the same price and deluxe, and it was exactly that. Very very disappointing, it’s beautiful surroundings but sadly not very nice rooms, and pricing.
