Butley Priory

As soon as I laid eyes on it, Butley Priory was my dream wedding venue. The experience was made even more incredible by the wonderful staff. A special thank you to Honor, who showed us around when we first visited. As the very first venue we viewed, we never felt pressured at any point. She was welcoming, knowledgeable, and took the time to provide all the information we needed, both during our visit and in the communications that followed. An enormous shoutout goes to Daniela, who was there for us on our wedding day. She was attentive, organised, and ensured everything ran seamlessly so that we could simply relax and enjoy every moment. Daniela was always two steps ahead, thinking of every detail before it even crossed our mind. There wasn’t a single point during the day when I felt stressed because everything was handled so professionally in her capable hands. Butley Priory is not only a stunning and unique venue, but it’s made even more special by the exceptional people who work there. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will always treasure the memories we made there. I highly recommended and I can’t wait for an excuse so I can go back!

We couldn't recommend Butley Priory and the team enough - we had the absolute time of our lives getting married there!!! The venue is absolutely beautiful with stunning accomodation that allowed us to have our friends and family stay over and make a weekend of it. It felt truly unique and we were made to feel so special over the course of the weekend. A special shout out to Honor who was utterly brilliant - both in the run up to the day with all the planning and on the day itself, making sure things ran seamlessly, especially when plans changed to accommodate wet and windy weather!! A huge thank you to the Butley Priory team (especially Honor!) for making our wedding day so special. From start to finish, Honor went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Our families couldn’t stop talking about how lovely and friendly she was and we couldn’t agree more. We truly couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day. Butley Priory Cottage was the perfect place to retreat to as newlyweds. My family stayed in Paddy’s Cottage down the road and it was so lovely having them close by. The cottages were so cosy and beautifully decorated. The grounds at Butley Priory are picturesque and our wonderful photographer, Anna Cunnell, captured some incredible photos that we will treasure forever 🤍 All our love and a massive thank you! We chose Butley Priory for our elopement wedding ceremony and it was absolutely perfect! It was such a wonderful location and it felt so peaceful and calming to stay there before and after our special day. We had close family stay too, and they absolutely loved it. The cottages we stayed in were beautiful and spotlessly clean. Our son and nephew enjoyed relaxing by playing table tennis and football in the gardens. The ceremony was wonderful. Libby was so incredibly helpful and supportive with brilliant advice and made sure everything ran smoothly. We were lucky with the weather and were able to enjoy the day inside and outside. We have such magical memories of our wedding and are still on cloud nine almost a week later. We had a truly wonderful time, everything was perfect. We can't recommend the venue more and we hope to be able to stay again one day, maybe to celebrate our anniversary!

We got married at the Butley Priory on the 27th September 2025. It was simply the best day of our lives and we have Butley Priory to thank. The venue was amazing, Donna and her team were incredible, food from Peter Harrison was top notch and the cocktails were strong 😂. We stayed for 2 nights and the Friday was again fantastic at the farm house as was all the accommodation. Couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you Butley.

I really enjoyed visiting Butley Priory for the first time earlier this year. I was photographing Archie and Sarah's wedding and the things that really impressed me about the venue were the setting with the woodlands and fields nearby, the interior of the priory with original features and ceilings and also the staff. Honor was coordinating the day and she went above and beyond at all times. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great too. It makes a real difference as a photographer having good light and during the ceremony in the main room there was beautiful natural light filling the room. I really want to return here, great place!
