Windsor House Hotel

We had a booking for 4 rooms on sunday. We were able to leave a car prior to check in as we were attending a wedding. The rooms were lovely, comfy bed and great facilities. Both Holly & Ian were very welcoming on reception and made our stay an enjoyable experience. We would stay here again.

The Atmosphere The first thing that strikes you about the Windsor is the stunning environment. The Victorian-style architecture combined with the lush, expansive greenery creates a peaceful atmosphere that makes you feel miles away from the hustle of the city. It’s easily one of the most scenic spots for a quiet getaway or a weekend walk. ​Service & Hospitality The staff truly stand out here. From the warm welcome at the entrance to the attentive service during breakfast, there is a genuine sense of hospitality. Everyone I encountered was professional and went out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. ​Facilities & Experience If you enjoy the outdoors, the grounds are the highlight. The walking paths and the general upkeep of the landscape are top-tier. It’s a perfect setting for anyone looking to relax or enjoy a bit of nature without leaving the convenience of the hotel.

Firstly, if you’re disabled or have mobility problems then avoid at all costs. The premises has no lifts, and there are staircases everywhere which are difficult to navigate when disabled. Parking is also a nightmare, the car park itself is very small and reserved paid bookings only. There are no disabled bays and the bays are really narrow so you wouldn’t be able to get in or out of the car easily. The street parking is permit only also. The staff were friendly, and probably the best part about the hotel. The waiting staff especially were rushed off their feet Sunday morning and had to deal with a lot of very rude customers yet still had a smile on their face. So kudos to them! The hotel is very old fashioned and in need of updating. The rooms are dated and there were holes in the bathroom door, walls and the bathroom lino was lifting at the edges. The walls are also paper thin! We could hear every single noise the people in the next room made from their conversations to their TV! Doors slamming and people chatting in corridors made for a very broken nights sleep. I think the location is possibly the only appealing thing about the hotel. We wouldn’t stay again.

This is a lovely hotel with a small team of staff giving a personal service. The hotel is tucked away from the noise of the main bustle of the centre of Worthing.Before our stay, I noticed that the room I requested was not in the final description. There was no trouble changing rooms without a change in price.My husband and I stayed for four nights . Everyone was kind and attentive. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend to family and friends.
