Lens District Gallery

Went in to see some pictures with my partner. The prints are very high quality and well presented. I commented that one of them had quite saturated colours (not in any negative way), and the owner interjected to say that they weren't. I tried to start a conversation but he quickly shut it down with "it's interesting to hear people who don't know what they're talking about think". So basically, do go in if you want to see/buy beautiful prints but if you're put off by confrontation, I would avoid commenting out loud on what you see. To my eye, many of the colour prints are on the saturated side (or vibrant, if we're making the distinction). It's an editing style that works for landscape.

I had a great 1-2-1 workshop with Stuart this week, and came away from the day with a number of great images as well as improving my composition technique and a better understanding on where to focus for sharp images front to back. The day was really enjoyable, with Stuart being good company and tailoring the day to meet my interests. Worth booking if you are in the Lake District and want to improve your photography.

A lovely little gallery with stunning prints on display - all true to life and genuinely representative and faithfully depictive of the gorgeous landscapes on offer in the National Park. A credit to Stuart who is an outstanding photographer and I can highly recommend a visit .

Well, this was a pleasant surprise. Whilst the other photographic galleries in Keswick tend to focus on the picture postcard shots (which can be tiresome after a while), Stuart brings a level of artistry to his images that really makes you feel you are part of the landscape. Another pleasant surprise is that Stuart also stock photographs from other established landscape photographers to complement his own. I had a wonderful visit and will surely return in future.

A lovely little gallery in Keswick showcasing beautiful photography from around the Lake District and beyond. The variety and creativity of the photography on display is refreshing compared to many of the other galleries around the Lakes. Our Buttermere Bloom print has pride of price in our home. I've also been fortunate enough to go on a day workshop with Stuart and would highly recommend doing so too if you are keen to explore the Lakes with someone who really knows their stuff. We always pop in and have a look at the new work on display whenever we are in Keswick. Highly recommended!

A very modest and decent chap who was very happy to answer any questions. Bought 3 of Stuart's prints which will be getting hung shortly when the boss has decided where she wants them.

Absolutely stunning photography of the Lake District. The owner is one of the country’s leading landscape photographers, and the quality of the pictures here shines through. There were so many evocative images to choose from to remind me of my time in the Lakes, Stuart really manages to capture the atmosphere of the place. Much more on offer here than the usual picture postcard fayre.
