Brilliant Baguettes, freshly made and generous fillings. Great selection of beverages, their Chai-Latte is the best! The staff are all really great people, who go out of their way to assist you. Our favorite place when in town! Thanks to all the staff & manager.

The staff are nice and friendly, and the access is manageable but despite the claim of a good variety of food, there is very little cheese free, allergy friendly items. Like the monty python sketch with spam, almost everything savoury contains cheese. The one item without cheese that I was offered was not to my liking (hummus and falafel wrap). No humble BLTs here, or tuna mayo. And then the rest is cakes. Absolutely no use if you need something light to keep you going for the afternoon.

GREEN CUISINE! Sitting at a table in their Central Library cafe one morning, sipping a coffee, I watched as one of the staff threw some spent coffee grinds into the bin. This was an operation she repeated numerous times, as, in turn, a number of coffee guzzling customers left the counter after being served. Now, it might have been the caffeine, I don't know, but as I watched their customers take up their seats, I had an epiphone! You see, I have an allotment, and on this I have a worm farm. Worm farms, as the name implies, home and raise worms, but not just any old worms; these specialist worms munch on organic matter and turn it into a very rich form of compost. They'll eat just about anything which is organic, but they have a penchant for coffee grinds! My request was speculative, but I asked the girl who served me if I could take some of their used grinds for my farm, and she very kindly obliged. Not only that, after explaining to her what they were for, I was able to arrange collections on a regular basis. The benefits of this arrangement are twofold: firstly, I get to feed my worms with something which they love, and, secondly, the large quantities of coffee grinds which the cafe generates no longer go into landfill, where they take up space and degenerate, producing greenhouse gasses as they do so. I'm so grateful to the cafe's manager and her staff for accommodating this arrangement, especially because it meant amending their usual procedure for disposing of the grinds. As they explained to me, though, if it has environmental benefits, then it's worth it. Thanks, girls! Oh, I almost forgot: I love my coffee, and I consider myself to be something of a coffee connoisseur. I have to say, theirs is lovely; full bodied and robust. It goes especially well with their plain flapjacks!
