Travel & Food

Had a great Iftar at Royal Mahal, excellent food. Plenty of options, spice level was good and accomodating to all. The service was impeccable, they were constantly checking up on us, they cleaned the tables regularly. They offered us drinks and they made us feel very well accommodated. Definitely value for money as it was only £27 and it was unlimited from starters to mains desserts and chai. The only one critique I had was the pani puris, I would have liked them to have imli pani as I didn’t find them that tasteful. Overall, great Iftar. Also found it very hygienic and aesthetic , loved the Ramadan decor. ✨

Restaurant has a great cheerful atmosphere. Love the lighting decoration here. Staff is very friendly. Aymen helped to sort out our Nan bread when we mentioned that the nan was a cold. Food overall is very good and good value too! Will come back to visit again.

The customer service here was truly outstanding from start to finish!! The food was absolutely delicious, incredibly filling, and excellent value for money. I ordered the Garlic Naan with Punjabi Cholay and Pilao Rice, followed by the Biscoff Milk Cake for dessert all my food was bursting with flavour and beautifully prepared. I also received a salad to start which was delicious :)) I felt genuinely happy and relaxed the entire time I was there. The staff were exceptionally hospitable, regularly checking in to make sure everything was perfect and that I had everything I needed. Their attentiveness really elevated the whole experience. Overall, a fantastic dining experience from ambience to service to food. I will definitely be returning soon! 😊💗

Nice Atmosphere, Food The food was overall quite good, with the kadai dishes and naan standing out in particular—they were flavourful and well-prepared. The biryani, however, was just average and didn’t quite match the quality of the other items. Customer service was impressive, with plenty of staff available, making the service quick and attentive. The atmosphere was also enjoyable, with nice lighting and a pleasant ambience that added to the dining experience.

Went for a Birthday Meal, even though they were super busy on a Sunday evening they accommodated us very quickly with a table, but the waiter uncle lol said if we sit at this table we can’t complain, ignored it at first. Ordered our food and had to wait over 50 minutes we were starving at this point, the waiter brought 1 item at a time and it was really annoying, the Gol grappa was served first and again this Waiter uncle was telling us to have it and not wait for the rest of our starters ! He was seriously starting to get annoying not to mention how unprofessional he was being. Later a further 20 minutes later all our food arrived, food was very nice full of flavour the waiter brought was worth it. The real let down was when we had to repeatedly ask the waiters to give condiments or containers to takeaway food and also clean the table as I booked a surprise birthday special. Over 3 times I asked 3 different waiters including a female waitress who behaved like the owner of the restaurant and walked away ignoring our request to clean the table. Finally when I saw the manager I expressed how unprofessional and really slow the service was that dampened the whole experience there, manager apologised and cleared the table himself which was really appreciated. But the audacity of the Waiter uncle who’s probably in his 60s came over and asked if we are Bengali? Like what difference did that make.. Staff are very unprofessional and ignore you when you call them, not sure is it because of the language barrier but staff really need better Training. I would definitely come back here because the Food was a 8/10 👍
